This book using the DVD does a great job of explaining how to look at music in addition to play. The learning pace is high tempo so you aren't wasteing weeks on playing the identical song. The music has helpful reminders on the begining from the pieces to remind you which of them fingers go where. The music is printed in large print which means you do not must squint to see the music. The only thing I wish they can have done differently should be to offer up some longer pieces to assist build the pc muscle memory. The tunes are fairly short so it really is easy to memorize the order on the keys being played prior to deciding to memorize the musical notes. Otherwise a fantastic purchase. I would recommend this over paying a lot of money for piano lessons.

I bought this book to view if I could teach myself basic fundamentals of playing the piano. It works great personally. I am a visual learner. Yes, I like pictures. The book has drawings of correct finger position and. There are basic scales, songs, and a great deal of skill building exercises. I am very happy with my purchase. I would buy this book again. It works for your adult who has never unquestionably piano. It teaches you to see music!

I have wanted to take part in the piano for countless years now, and like a middle-aged adult became a bit shy about taking lessons, so I thought the solution could well be to teach myself at the least the basics. I surmised that when I could play just a little and read music, I would get into lessons which has a teacher by knowledge. Maybe it really is just me, but I thought the lessons were too difficult and fast-paced for any complete newbie and I use it away. I started lessons with an educator and I am progressing in a comfortable rate to me. After a couple of months, I got the teach yourself to learn piano book and dvd out, and I have still found it for being too much to me. Im glad that others have discovered success. I think a one-star rating will be too harsh if I could, Id provide a 2.5.
