OK, so I bought an iMac and essentially hate it and I ve really worked tough to like it. My biggest issues are I can t import my custom put in place folders into iPhoto without sticking 7, 000 photos into one library that s unorganized no I can t sort by date because I ve got scans of photos in directories from 1960-2000 even so the scan date for the file is 2003, plus it ticks me off any time I am in the file/open dialog box I can t do items like rename or delete folders like I can in Windows. Leopard also loses connectivity with my network drive regularly and I have to click connect also it re-connects, but why can it lose the connection to start out with? It s just frustrating. Any answers?

Also, most games turn out for windows with Dx10.

I ve been messing around with computers more than most of you are born I m sure. I ve done programming on TRS-80 s of most sorts of models I through XVI as well as TRS/DOS and and in many cases Xenix. I ve done IBM XT s, and some on the near now so near compatibles just like the Tandy 2000, the Monroe 2000 spitting cousins those two along with the Victor 9000. I ve gone with the beige box phase too. I ve completed so many different network interfaces, I m sure I can t remember them.
I ve gone through a variety of verstions of TRS/DOS, MS-DOS, NW-DOS, CP/M, Xenix, Unix, and Windows, dabbled in Linux.
The trouble is, even though it s a pleasant purdy little computer, there is usually a cost related to it. You HAVE running their hardware OK, the Hackintosh can be achieved to run OSX, but, is exactly legal, even though you purchase a copy of OSX?. It s only taken them the number of architecture changes before they finally chose to be remotely near to what the rest on the world continues to be running forever.
I m not running any Apple software now, and pay attention to no need for me to get running any now. The iPhone along with the various iPods is just about just a toy in my experience, and I haven't any interest. Yeah, I might be locked into Microsoft, but jumping ship to Apple ways I m locked into somebody different. And if I really get fed up with MS, I can switch the signal from some distro of Linux and never have to upend most of my current hardware choices.

Anyway; just my, personally still I d claim that it s unfair to direct-compare Apple computer with Windows PC, including the output from both strategy is nearly perfect, but it really s truly unfair.

This is a superb list. I fully agree. I became a Windows user all of my life. I had always wanted to use out a Mac but was concered about compatibility issues while using old PowerPPC Macs. What really swayed me was the plunge to Intel, OS X and being capable to go into an Apple Store and mess around with them. So last Christmas I purchased my first Mac, a MacBook C2D, 1GB RAM, 80GB HDD. I thought about installing Windows on his or her but after using Tiger for any bit I really had no reason to return. However, I am among those people who likes a personal computer as my main computer and a laptop just by traveling or when I want to advance around the home, so I was still being using a Windows PC as my main machine.

Like you I have also recently switched towards the Mac after more than a decade of windows. I kept shying away from your Mac because of cost as well as the G4-G5 merely comparable to Intel. I got a new mac-mini once they first was released and appeared selling it because of how slow that it was G4. I know own a MacBook 2.16 intel and incredibly love it. I also agree that this MacBook ran Vista a lot better than your typical windows pc as I duel booted with Bootcamp to get a while. I also have a very HP Pavilion dv9650us laptop that I hardly use anymore. It is new with Vista home premium and I only use the Mac for everything now. I think it's time to sell the HP. Mac s might be pretty safe from virus s but from what i am able to read on here, anyone while using slightest little social engineering skill might have you all scrabling for overpriced rubbish. I are actually a mac user to get a bit over 10 years. I have also used Win XP from time for it to time. OS X can be a better OS given it doesn t crash or freeze as much. Now in relation to 3rd party apps I think both are precisely the same. In some cases I have seen Windows app take on the lot more than apps designed for OS X. Now when Apple definitely makes the app due to the own system its a definitely more stable. It really tough to compare both OS nonetheless it comes down to which ever you feel confident with.
