Here I removed the red boat for the right side as it had been distracting. I then applied Nik Dfine to clear out any noise within the image and then Nik RAW sharpener. This produced the starting image to the conversion which you will see below.
I start using the Neutral preset as I really know what my finished image may need to look like and I also realize how to create this. Sometimes it can help review the presets should you aren t sure what you wish to do.
First I apply a Yellow filter to assist darken the sun and lighten the bottom slightly. I also raise the filter strength to 100% in the default 50%. I made these final changes differently because I took longer over the edit, deciding I wanted to produce an A3 print in the finished image.

In a practical way I see no or not many results that could t be made with just Lightroom.

I m unable to complete the selective colouring. For example, I have a BW shot RAW opened and converted in Elements, and I need to retain the colour of the piece of jewellery within the shot. So I throw open Efex within Elements.
When I go through the control point for the jewellery, I only get Br, Co and St not another ones inside illustration inside article.
The manual doesn t help I find it very hard to learn.
Does anyone please have thoughts on what I m doing wrong?
There s a smaller black arrow beneath the three sliders you re seeing. Click on that plus the other three sliders look. The one in the bottom Sc may be the one you'll need.
There s another slider in the top that controls the size with the Control Point. You may have to adjust that you as well to have the required effect.

I ve become overwhelmed with software and software plugin choices. I own, Topaz Labs, Nix Collections, OnOne, yet another one or two small programs, various actions, moreover, to LR5 and PSCC. Whew!!! I ve seen what Silver Efex Pro can perform and that s why I bought the entire Nix Collection. The LR presets don't compare to any on the aforementioned programs. I use LR on the beginning and in the end of photo processing. PS is a lot over my head, even though using it for 5 years, but I put it to use to finish what Topaz, Nix or OnOne plugins start. And, usually find yourself doing some small adjustments in LR, after it is all totally said and done for instance dodging and burning and adding a vignette.
So, everything you re saying will be the LR beats every one of them after all? I ve become overwhelmed with the amount of editing programs out there at the same time but I only own LR for the present time, it s type of scary to uncover how many editing software are within the market that I don t even dare to seem at the articles much more.
