Yes XP will not be perfect but hardly slow when compared to the bloated and rushed VISTA. If you carry out a clean install with XP along with your computer remains to be slow it is your hardware or perhaps you have the wrong drivers installed. This will not be XPs fault.

Sorry, just saw your reply. Your sarcasm is noted. When I wrote the review, I was frustrated that I couldnt just download Media Center alone. I was also annoyed by MS excluding XP support from the products for that sole aim of pushing individuals the new OS. However, its unimportant. This review was almost a couple of years ago, and individuals should definitely be looking for something else entirely by now, regardless of whether its not Windows. Windows 7 is extremely good, but people should choose Ubuntu should the upgrade is cost-prohibitive; desktop Linux has come a long ways, plus the upgrades have the freedom.
