03/20/2015 I removed my old Windows 7 and replaced it using a clean install in this WIndows 8.1. I could cease more happier. With a matching 120GB SSD harddrive for it, boot up and shutdown are lower than 10 seconds. I configured it to seem like Windows 7 since I love that old interface. And it worked. It has everything I need for my house desktop PC. I will stop upgrading to Windows 10 soon as I dont go to whichever major benefit going without running shoes for my very own application.

Turns out the fine print about the disk says this copy is made for distribution which has a new Yada Yada so it is a policy violation for the majority of resale sites like ebay ect. I like just how buy features a generic picture from the product. IF I might have known this basically experienced a no resale restriction I would donrrrt you have bought it.

Hardware drivers were mostly found automatically, over and above some specialty drivers from newer, high-end hardware. The interface is quite great, althoughIt could be a bit intimidating in the beginning. The start screen is truly a pretty useful adaptation with the familiar start menu. Once you unpin the programs you dont use and obtain it organized, youll love the commencement screen immediately. If you cant locate a file, an application, or perhaps a feature, simply go towards the start screen you need to typing the naming of what youre in search of - like magic ,, it appear to your right side from the screen. 05/25/2014 It installed fast and seemed just like a good OS initially, however later on it could crash and I would've to reboot. I installed the many updates but it really keeps happening. Sometimes when I boot up my PC the screen will you need to be the color purple and yes it stays prefer that until I press a vital. Whatever key I press it really turns the screen to blue. If I press every other key that goes to purple. This doesnt go away completely and I must reboot again. Another downside would be the whole new redesigned interface. As you probably often hear, it's just not very popular, and rightly so. Everybody was used on the past Windows that had been all generally alike. This new design is difficult for getting accustomed to and to begin with YOU CANT FIND ANYTHING YOU WANT. It took me like around 30 minutes to find cpanel and other things. Overall, it's just not worth it to the price. I would get Windows 7 Premium over Windows 8.
