I recently obtained a nifty HP pavilion dm1 notebook. It included Windows 7 64 Bit and yes it was doing okay. Then, earlier this week I designed a very stupid move and downloaded the Windows 8 pre-release evaluation. What I didnt know was that after downloaded Win 8 cant be removed. I attemptedto bring it to factory settings, but Windows 8 wiped that out, at the same time as other HP programs that included the note book. As I write, my bluetooth still doesnt work.
I had to locate Hp drivers for my notebook to test and bring returning to standard. Some of them work and a few dont. Since my HP notebook doesnt come having a DVD optical drive I were forced to order one and also was required to order a recovery disk from HP. As soon as these products arrive, Ill be nuking Win 8 and get time for using Win 7, which if you dont have it, one knows how good it had been in comparison.
As for Win 8, it's some interesting do-dads. The start screen seems as if my wifes Lumia and truth be told it sucks. To me its gimicky plus a bit childish. It gets from the way of doing what you need to do do together with the computer. I may go on, but Ive said enough. In short, I wont be spending any shekels for Win 8, since it already has set me back a considerable amount of money attempting to have my new notebook returning to its original condition.
