I recently got such a nifty HP pavilion dm1 notebook. It was included with Windows 7 64 Bit and yes it was doing just great. Then, yesterday I produced very stupid move and downloaded the Windows 8 pre-release evaluation. What I didnt know was once downloaded Win 8 cant be removed. I tried to get it to factory settings, but Windows 8 wiped that out, along with all other HP programs that sported the note book. As I write, my bluetooth still doesnt work.
I had to seek out Hp drivers for my notebook to test and bring back in standard. Some of those work plus some dont. Since my HP notebook doesnt feature a DVD optical drive I were forced to order one and also needed to order a recovery disk from HP. As soon as these things arrive, Ill be nuking Win 8 and get time for using Win 7, which after you dont have it, one knows how good it turned out in comparison.
As for Win 8, it's some interesting do-dads. The start screen seems like my wifes Lumia and truth be told it sucks. To me its gimicky plus a bit childish.
