CNET is becoming a distributor of malware, rolling around in its efforts to have revenue during installation, and yes it has destroyed any faith I had within it.

I m currently at 35k approximately words. I started this novel being unsure of it would have been a novel before heading in lol. I ve written lots of flash fiction, so I know I can write tight. But my first novel, an historical fiction with two main characters, easily broke 165, 000 words.I know you'll find plenty of writers who may have written works a lot longer than mine; names for instance Wally Lamb, Stephen King, Thomas Pynchon, and David Foster Wallace pop into your head. You obviously didn t read Chuck s article. He said authors like Stephen King and Rowling wrote longer novels. He also pointed on their first novel. How long was Carrie? Maybe 70k words. What Chuck emphasized is for every novel published over 110k words, hundreds aren't. So unless you've written a close look popping novel, Chuck suggests following an easy rule. To be a published author is one from the hardest things someone is capable of doing. There are millions, maybe tens of millions which may have tried it and failed. All Chuck is suggesting is usually to follow a straightforward word count range to improve your chances of getting noticed.
