Sound just like a hardware propblem. Mine was doing a similar thing. Problem was the harddrive was failing. Could also be you're not meeting the minimum specs to perform it. Windows 7 needs at the very least a 2ghz processor and 4gb of ram

Ive been using win7 because it came out plus it hasnt had any of these problems. If you took the couple of minutes it takes to disable the historical past sounds they wouldnt become a problem. Please dont write a review upon an OS you obviously do not know anything about. Recently upgraded from Vista, clean install as I did something stupid also it made the OS explode, windows 7 would be a really nice change, and Im actually glad I upgraded now.
Not a massive change from Vista. I had no issues with vista before I upgraded, but Windows 7 really can be a nice change. Its a lot faster for an OS and I was rather glad to have rid from the crapware on my own old OS when I did this clean install.
