I have owned Winzip for approximately 20 years. It has been a helpful tool to keep and backup files.
The current version is boated 249 MB installed.
Default view doesnt show the folder tree. Neither does classic view.
Selecting multiples folder with Shiftmouse click dont work anymore. Selecting which has a mouse is necessary, while using risk of inadvertedly moving files.
A trivial function like pausing the unzip process isn't there.

Great product, however they need to let you know that it only works in the event you run it in Safe Mode. Then it removes the many offending adware beautifully. If not in Safe Mode, you may as well forget does some marginal improvement. After your laptop is clean, it needs to do a good job of preventing new malware ll tell you.

I bought winzip 18.5 at the reduced price a month ago, 11 14 14, I could not download because at the many goog links I tried, it turned out only set to load new 19. I emailed winzip ans we were holding very good about helping, but even they kept sending me links for 19. Finally I almost lost the fight I explained my purchase was for that 18. 5 version, they sent the appropriate link also it worked out fine. I have to repeat the email replys were fast and intensely helpfull, however their mindset is for the newest 19 version,,, dont throw in the towel,,,,,

Yes XP is just not perfect but hardly slow compared to your bloated and rushed VISTA. If you start a clean install with XP as well as your computer continues to be slow it is your hardware or you could have the wrong drivers installed. This is just not XPs fault.
The next thing is to buy a fresh computer with 7. You can get yourself a new one for just a couple hundred and in case you need a great computer for tech then it is possible to build your own for the few hundred at the same time. Im sure you can find techs in your area that can help you. Either way the rule of thumb is XP for old computers, and 7 achievable ones. And in case you absolutely cant stand XP for reasons uknown then change to linux. Its free and much more secure.
Very, good Windows program
Easy to face problems, very easy to navigate. Holds room enough. Tells when there can be a problem and fixes it easily. Fast 85% in the time. Good household computer, tells any time a program may harm your personal computer, and asks should you would like to operate it.
Lags sometimes ANNOYING, may be slow 35% with the time. When multiple tabs windows are running with the same time, all of the programs immediately become unresponsive. When programs become unresponsive, pain inside neck to seal the program down.
Overall, I have had this computer ALL MY LIFE, plus it still works like fresh. This computer is undoubtedly an old but trusted friend, and in case you want to pick out a fresh program, go with this particular. You wont regret it!:
