This was purchased to switch the Windows XP software on my own home computer. Walmart doesn t mention it inside the description but this is just the System Builder or OEM version. I currently use Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit on my own personal PC, but we use Windows 7 on a great many other PC s in this home both 32 and 64 bit. I do like Windows 8 slightly faster than 7 but overall I think I like 7 the top. Maybe a year from now it is going to be Windows 8. This product works and installed flawlessly. You will have to execute a custom install for anyone who is upgrading from XP though.
