Yes XP will not be perfect but hardly slow compared for the bloated and rushed VISTA. If you execute a clean install with XP and your personal computer is still slow it is your hardware or you hold the wrong drivers installed. This will not be XPs fault.

Fast, stable, faster start-up and shutdown, great at multitasking, Aero peak and snap are nice features, and by the way, IT IS THE BEST OPERATING SYSTEM EVER!!!!
Not as suitable for as many programs as xp. Somewhat expensive and life of the battery on laptops hasnt improved much.
