Ive been using win7 as it came out and yes it hasnt had any of these problems. If you took the short while it takes to disable the historical past sounds they wouldnt be considered a problem. We bought a brand new HP laptop with Win 7 Pro 64 bit preinstalled in July 2013 coming from a reputable I think online dealer. I installed the free version of Avast and initially all was well, and bootup time was extremely quick. After with regards to a month or 2, I was prompted to update Avast, which I did. Immediately 2 problems cropped up. First, bootup time became very painfully slow sometimes approximately 5 minutes or higher before laptop computer is fully operational. Once it turned out booted up, it wouldn't seem particularly slow anymore. Second, we began for getting the message inside the lower right that copy of Windows will not be genuine build 7601. This message appears only occasionally most from the time it does NOT appear, and it also does not seem to get any noticeable effect unless it can be related towards the slow bootup time. The screen shows our normal wallpaper. Reading somewhere that Avast might have caused the slow bootup time, I uninstalled Avast and instead installed the free version of AVG, which I still use. But both problems persist slow bootup and occasional windows not genuine message. I believe my copy of Windows is trustworthy, but interestingly, the pc does not have a very COA sticker, a minimum of no that I can find. We also usually do not have Win 7 disk from MS only from HP. Your symptoms are routine of a race condition - more than likely caused using a conflict between AV and also other software.

I already had uninstalled Avast and installed AVG instead almost a year ago. I followed your steps otherwise, and as well uninstalled AVG. I tried the Avast cleaner anyway, however it asked for that location where Avast files were stored, however the Avast folder already was gone from my earlier uninstall awhile ago. So Im not certain if the Avast cleaner actually did anything.
But, with all of AV software uninstalled I thought, bootup seemed slightly faster. I reinstalled Avast, and immediately things got MUCH worse. First a window sprouted telling me that there are 2 AVs installed I guess MSE was another? Also, bootup times got VERY long, around 10 minutes usually longer prior to desktop icons even appeared. And then clicking while on an icon prior to the bootup was complete seemingly triggered punishment since it seemed to take even longer on top of that!
Tonight the Windows not genuine message came again. I ran the NETSH WINSOCK RESET command again and uninstalled Avast. Now I have only MSE for AV software I think, as well as the desktop icons appear rapidly upon booting. Unfortunately, still it takes quite awhile 5-10-20 minutes before simply clicking one in the icons or perhaps the start button actually does anything.
I can keep monitoring and report in a very few days how bootup goes, and whether or not the not genuine maessage reappears.

If you didnt already do this, run the Avast cleanup tool again, then run the 2012 and 2014 versions in the AVG

I did run the 2014 version of AVG remover, and not the 2012 version. Ill do that it weekend. But before I ran the 2014 version, I first uninstalled AVG on the control panel. Running the remover then resulted in most error messages I guess it aimed to remove files it could will no longer find.
First, if I uninstall MSE through the control panel, could it leave residual?
Second, does one recommend reinstalling MSE again, or various other AV? I understand that MSE is lightweight as compared to some other free AVs like Avast or AVG. I liked Avast when I first installed it almost a year ago, but am wary since it might certainly be a major resource hog the setup file is 80 mb.
Third, the Avast cleanup tool asked for any location the place that the relevant files are found. But the folder called Avast is gone if the program is uninstalled through the control panel. What do I specify as the placement? I did run the tool again the other day and just place in Program Files/Avast whilst the folder Avast lo longer existed or hasn't been visible?. The cleanup tool warned that files from the specified folder will be irretrievable deleted. Upon execution, it flashed a note about deleting something. But I am uncertain if this actually did anything.

MSE includes a very light touch, and uninstalls cleaner than almost all on the others even though running some with their removal tools, in a few cases.

seems as if you ran the report in safe mode. it has for being run in normal mode to get of any use.
EDIT: are you running any registry cleaners or accelerate my pc form of programs? if that's the case name them.

Have you been using any registry cleaners or accelerate my pc sort of products? if you do name them.

Wow! - I dont remember seing that combination before!
1 To open an Elevated Command Prompt Window the ECP window, click Start, All Programs, Accessories then right-visit Command Prompt, and select Run as Administrator. Accept the UAC prompt.
2 To run the commands easier, highlight the block of commands, and right-go through the highlight select Copy. In the CP Window, select the black/white icon at top left select Paste. The commands will run but may well not complete the very last command, so hit the Enter Key once.
3 To copy the select the Black/White icon within the top left, and select Select All, striking the Enter key - then use CtrlV or r-clickPaste to paste it to your response.

Unfortunately, when I right select command prompt and select run as administrator, it gives me one:
The specified service will not exist as a possible installed service.
It gives me this same error when I try to try and do many other things too, including installing windows updates and changing the computers power settings.

Download, install, run, update and perform full system scans with all the following two applications:
Removing everything they find. Rebooting if needed. You can uninstall either when done.
Then perform an internet based scan with all the eSet Online Scanner. Remove anything it finds.

Also, the challenge computer won't connect on the internet- I have to make use of another computer to correspond and download.
