I would want to install my copy of Windows within a Virtual machine however this usually has a new PRODUCT KEY for getting updates etc.

2 questions; I got such a laptop which had the HD replaced, it comes while using COA for Win 7 Home Premium though the OS will not be installed; does the COA figure out if it really is 32 or 64 bit and it is there a method to check if it's still a current COA.
I have downloaded both x32 x64 images onto my PC together with the USB DVD Self Extractor Tool necessary to do the image install.
