To input it simply, this device just doesn't work. I installed the program, installed the most recent updates, then when i try to try out a Blu-Ray or possibly a DVD it freezes. I uninstalled it, then re-installed it again, plus the same issue happens. All of my drivers are up-to-date. So i tried contacting Corel. Their tech support is often a joke, because website doesnt even enable you to actually send something to tech support. You can fill in a case for the kids to answer your question, but once you send it it says Case Creation Fail along with your question disappears. I tried this on 2 separate days, as well as the same thing happens. No support on Corels user forum either, as it can be mostly made up of people asking my same question: Why doesnt it work?
I bought WinDVD Pro 11 because we've Cyberlinks PowerDVD on another computer and have absolutely had complications with it. Looks like im returning to PowerDVD. Unfortunately

I have kept a watchful eye on WinDVD for a long time and was sorry to determine that its quality was declining. Then Corel got it and I felt very pumped up about the chance of a true software giant supporting its development.
Unfortunately, v2010 was flawed - I downloaded trials on several occasions and was disappointed each and every time. It was brimming with bugs! I could not believe Corel allows such software under its banner.
Quire in other words WinDVD has given PowerDVD a lot of breathing space and Cyberlink provides its No 1 position inside a monopolized target further complicate and bloat PowerDVD, which after v7 have not added just one must-have function. 3D! Is that what customers really would like - rather than Unicode subtitle support, as an example? They needed badly a worthy with finally found one out of WinDVD v11!

I have owned several DVD Player software titles. But, this definitely, beats all of them hands down.
Failed to get started on the second time I loaded it. Uninstall/reinstall failed to help. I start the program as well as the file association screen happens. Read more

Seems like good software. Not sure where every one of the complaints originate from but I also just use it to experiment with a few blue-rays every from time to time.
