This is usually a good game, engaging, nice combination of thinking and moving. There can be a shallow learning curve, yet it retains enough variety to ensure it is worth it to strategize, even plan. Two years ago it would be a five. It works pretty well in the web too, about too as it used to in this little two year old power pc. We had been able to experience over a network then. A decent game for preteens as much as violence goes. Theres some blood, nonetheless its not gratuitous, and adds for the realtime a feeling of battle.
Graphics are primitive. With the many digital algorithm stuff in existence, like soul caliber etc, youd think they can risk a little bit of processing efficiency to make the sport look cleaner. Units arent proportional, along with the movement logic system doesnt take terrain into consideration.
Sounds entertaining but mostly distracting, same for music.

It is very amazing, that if all these numerous years of owning Warcraft II, I still enjoy playing it. Most games tire right after months, but Warcraft, specifically in multiplayer, has stayed fresh and fun. The new Platinum edition is definitely icing within the cake. Now we can easily all duke against each other with people all over the planet, having a FREE service, should it get any better? Of course there has been many many new games within the RTS genre, from Blizzards StarCraft, on the brand new 3D Force Commander. It amazes me that despite having this competition, I like to try out WarCraft. The stratagy is fun, and also the sense of humor with the Blizzard designers is top-notch. This is one in the greatest games ever produced, the one that everybody should own. It may not have the most recent technical gimmicks, nonetheless it has everything a gamer needs, fun and addictive gameplay. 5/5

This game rocks plus it was developed almost several years ago! At only 20, I gladly replaced my old scratched up copy, even thought still works.
