Ive been using each version of VMWare and Parallels for around 3.five years now, since that time I got my first Macbook Pro way back in 2009. Sometimes Ive experienced VMWare, and switched to Parallels. Ive done the switch back also. Usually its a pricing issue. VMware have a habit of not giving a superb price break for existing keepers to upgrade to the present version. Theres a long thread using one of their forums on the bump to V4 where everybody was trying to get a rest, specially those of us who bought just a few months before the release from the new version. Parallels was offering a lot better price to visit their new edition as a competitive upgrade, that was the reason I jumped from to the other at that time.
Historically, my systems always seemed to operate better on VMWare. It always seemed somewhat faster than Parallels. So I was interested once this came up for the Vine program just as one option, as I am while using the current Parallels, and needed to do a direct comparison. So heres what I found.
