Vipre may be worse in my opinion than any actual viruses Ive had in the past. Currently, I have Vipre turned OFF, plus it will probably remain doing this until I can discover a different anti-virus program to put it back.

I found this thread as today, January 3, 2012, I ve not received something about my PC-lifetime subscription updating from 2012 to 2013 version; I tried this manual update to 2013 AV-only version, but all it did was identify Good News! You re Already Updated!. However, although the installer then closed itself, my VIPRE GUI still says 2012.
