I necessary to download while I curently have winzip and wrar because my client saved the compressed file being a sitx. There was a weird forward where I appeared linked towards the stuffit site. Upon install, it installs lots of instamail crap and add-ons to my cell phone browser. VERY SHADY IF YOU ASK ME!
they embedded instamail software using the install. also had a number of add-ons on my own browser.

Installing a nightmare. Unable to achieve it after hours of frustration. Being compulsive, I hated to give that up but did after hours wasted Im reasonablly experienced user.
I purchased this being an upgrade from version 9.0, because i had been quite happy with that version. Although there are not any imporvements I can see at frist sight, what I like may be the option to create SEAs Self Extracting Archives. The Euphoria ended, when I learned that my copy had been in Demo Mode. Upon entering the serial number provided by Smith Micro, it absolutely was rejected as invalid. The ForumKnowledge Base of Smith Micro states an answer, but that doesnt worl.

I experienced exactly the same problem but fixed it myself by.
1. uninstalling StuffIt 2009 first
2. scanning my your computer windows registry file with and deleting all Stuffit references.
3. reinstalling Stuffit 2010.
The reinstallation takes you over the registration process plus it then accepts the revolutionary key furnished by Smith Micro.
I won't reccomend this system to anyone. It isnt with the average user nor would it be particularly intuitive. It isnt as customizable as the old dinosaur ZipIt.
I wasn't even capable to install it.
I remember this system from the past, so I thought Id repeat the process, but ran into install errors. No dice.
