My boys love this book! They loved it much I bought the CD-ROM book also. And the plush bat! They enjoy hanging Stellaluna the other way up while reading the story plot.
The story itself is really a little scary in the event the owl appears and Stellaluna is separated from her mother within the dark forest. But mom bird and her babies are quick to receive and help Stellaluna. The story emphasizes that differences must be celebrated and accepted, as well as always best just to be yourself. It also shines having a positive spotlight with an animal that gets to be a bad rap-the bat. Id rate this book a lot better than Cannons other book, which can be about snakes, Verdi.
The artwork is beautiful; I love wanting at the pages. And the Bat Notes section on the end is informative; I know because my pre-reading child wanted me you just read it out loud more than once!
Lovers of nature, superb artwork, and literature won't be disappointed reading this article story on their little ones.

In my Stellaluna a childrens story book published for the children between 4-7 is definitely an extremly well written childrens story book.

falls. Between branches and trees, twigs, thorns and vines; falls the dear Stellaluna.
This book is around survival from the battiest. Cannon describes with great detail and emotion. When I first check out this book, I didnt think there is a moral. I was to engrossed within the book to bother for menial tasks as concentrating. But, I have finally figured out. The moral in this story is, No matter what occur in life, people that you can depend on the most will be your family and friends.
When you check out this book I hope you want it as much as I did.

While I was capable of appreciate the story and also the art, the theme was somewhat upsetting for my sensitve child. She just felt so sad that Stellaluna was separated from her Mom. I dont think thats a good option to start a childrens story.

Stellaluna is both well-written and lavishly illustrated - - a delight with the young child to view as well as the older child also as the parent to study - - a rarity among picture books. My three-year-old has received this book since birth, and it has loved it since the first day, requesting it being read over well as over.
The story: We keep to the young fruit-bat, Stellaluna, through her ordeal of becoming lost and her subsequent upbringing using a family of birds. The resultant bat-bird behavior confuses Stellaluna, and can delight your youngster with its absurdity. The story contains good conflict resolution, as Stellaluna regains her bat identity and her family, something bound to comfort and teach your kids.
For further entertainment, I recommend Ms. Cannons book, VERDI a comparable tale in regards to green python; wonderfully written and well-illustrated, likewise as the CD-ROM edition of STELLALUNA manufactured by Living Books one from the few really GOOD CD-ROMs for the kids.
Beautifully illustrated, this story is loaded with depth and meaning. My first reaction to it when the owl swooped down about the bats was Oh, no, another Bambi, mother-abandonment story. It was a great thing everthing ended happily. The story had nice, heartwarming elements, from little Stellaluna anxious to thrill the mother bird, along with the baby birds trying bat suggestions to the final reunion with the bat along with the birds, causing all of them still getting along.
I check this out to my two-year old, and she or he loved it and she or he learned things from that. I would recommend it with an audience younger than 4.
I judge the sunday paper as well-written should the parent can make out the print over and also over again on request whilst still being find the ebook appealing. This book passed examination.
