I m struggling to do the selective colouring. For example, I have a BW shot RAW opened and converted in Elements, and I desire to retain the colour of your piece of jewellery inside the shot. So I available Efex within Elements.

This is amazing software given its capabilities and potentials, well reviewed inside your piece. But I have one big complain about SE-2 as well as I am missing something.
1 Take a situation, as with your example, how the third portrait selective B W and color is one, you liked and saved and closed this program.
Next time, you would like to make some changes in 1 say in order to add border from the portrait, as SE provides that option. But after you open SE next occasion, it'll start from scratch with all the default i.e the second portrait. Your all previous efforts are lost.

Youve made an appealing point. Unfortunately, I havent yet found a way to support the selective color portion of the look when opening it for any second quantity of SEP and Im not without doubt there is one.
However, if you're working on a photo that you think youll resume, to provide a border, etc., save it as being a custom preset before you decide to exit SEP. It s then the perfect time to emphasise this effect even further while using the Soft Contrast slider plus a setting of - 40%. You can begin to see the result below.
This has achieved a fantastic balance relating to the foreground along with the sky but overall the picture is too light. I make use of the Dynamic Brightness slider at - 50% and also the Amplify Black slider at 20% to deal with this. The result is shown below.
Next step should be to make the sun more dramatic so I produce a selection that has a group of control points. I then improve the Structure and Amplify Black sliders to 20%. The result is shown below.
Next I put in a curves adjustment to darken the reduced 2/3 with the tonal curve. The resulting image is shown below.
My final help Silver Efex would be to add in some grain. I gave up together with the grain sliders at some point but recently they happen to be improved and they are now quite good. I utilize a grain setting of 400 which is pretty fine. I employed to shoot using Kodak TMax so that can match the fine grained films.
In the prior version of the whole picture I used Nik Analogue Efex to include a vignette and film boarder admittedly that it was a slide film boarder but I liked it. In this version I dodge and burn in Photoshop to produce the style at the very start with this post. I also tweaked the contrast further using another filter called Contrast Master from PhotoWiz. I made these final changes differently because I took more time above the edit, deciding I wanted to generate an A3 print on the finished image.

I captured this image of the frosty yesterday morning around the edge of your car park. It did raise some eyebrows from passersby. My initial intension were to convert it to a non colored documents image using Nik Silver Efex Pro. I made a number of variations of the style using different conversions, some high key some low key plus some high contrast but none ticked your box for me.
Then I remembered a different Nik programme that I had downloaded whilst wanting to fix a problem with Lightroom 5.2 still not fixed and thought I would have a go. The filter is known as Analogue Efex and means that you can simulate a variety of camera and film effects. Usually I am not astounded by such applications and to become honest, looking from the presets I wasn t hopeful. I then found the custom sections where you are able to create your own effects and the look below was the end result. I produced both colour version and converted this to the monochrome version above with Silver Efex Pro.

I made prints from both plus the prints are wonderful quality but I don t know which I prefer. I think I am edging towards colour version then again I switch to non colored documents. I was wondering what others thought my spouse dismisses anything white and black immediately so in the event you have similar tendencies your immediately banned from commenting.
Does anyone have thoughts?
