avast does not have a free firewall, you make payment for for that.
Pros once was many, but even for free it isnt more than worth it anymore.
Kept nagging me to update Tried to update several times but it always hangs at 20% completion on configuring sttings. Wont install. If I should do a complete uninstall only to re-install without my original settings I might also try something more important. Besides, I DO NOT much like the default only install feature. Sorry Zone Alarm I recommended you for a long time, but alas you took a nose dive. Good-bye.

Hatte Version 10.2.064 installiert und bekam eine Aktualisierungsmeldung. Habe ich dummerweise auch gemacht und nichts funktionierte hinterher - Download mit Fehlermeldung bei 10% abgebrochen, Neuinstallation half auch nichts, gleiches Problem. Also versucht nach Lцschung aller Komponenten eine Installation von Version 10.2.068 und wieder gleiches Habe jetzt jegliche Versuche, diese Software zu installieren lieber sein lassen und suche nach etwas besserem. Rate ab. Schade, diese Software hat mir lange Zeit gute Dienste geleistet. Schuster, wдrest Du nur bei deinen Leisten geblieben, wir alle hдtten davon profitiert.

nach dem Upda von 10.2.064.000 erscheint stРґndig eine Erinnerung, dass das Programm dringend aktualisiert werden mСЊРЇte. Das hab ich gemacht, aber gemeint ist, ich soll noch ZA Antivirus dazu installieren. Will ich aber nicht - die Meldung geht nicht abzuschalten. Und falls man Antiovirus installiert, vermute ich fast, dass dann die nРґchste Meldung kommt, man solle doch die Kauf-Version installieren. Denn so verdient ZA ja kein Geld. Jetzt hab ichs drauf, es funktioniert, fСЊr dieses miese Feature gibts nur 2 Sterne.

Zonealarm 10.2.064.000: Hatte gerade Probleme mit JDownloader konnte keine Verbindung hergestellt werden. Lцsung: Einfach die Firewall in den Einstellungen auf Mittel stellen. Dann klappts wieder.

nach der installation des updates wird gleich mal jdownloader komplett geblockt. keine mцglichkeit irgendwas freizugeben. einfach toll. fazit: runter mit dem mьll. auch freeware sollte funktionieren.

Habe die aktuelle Version 10.2.057 heruntergeladen und installiert. Obwohl die Installation der Toolbar abgelehnt wurde, installierte das Programm sie trotzdem. Dann findet die Firewall das bereits vorhandene Virenschutzprogramm nicht und gaukelt einem vor, daРЇ dieses noch installiert werden mСЊsste. Bei der BestРґtigung wird das Antivirenprogramm von Zonealarm installiert und das bereits vorhandene Virenschutzprogramm deaktiviert. Was soll das? Der Systemstart verlРґngert sich deutlich von knapp 3 Minuten bei der VorgРґngerversion auf СЊber 5:30 Minuten.:- Fazit: Ich habe das Programm wieder deinstalliert und die VorgРґngerversion erneut installiert. Р¬brigens entsprechen die Screenshots des Programms nicht den tatsРґchlichen Gegebenheiten.

Kenne und benutze ZoneAlarm, seitdem ich mit Windows surfe. Firewall lРґuft gut, sofern man alle Programmzugriffe richtig konfiguriert hat; ist mit der neuesten Version 101065 nicht anders. Toolbars oder so einen Mist installiere ich generell nicht, dadurch wird der PC bzw. das Browsen gebremst. Augen auf beim Surfen, ab und zu System auf Viren und SpyWare scannen mit Antivir und ZoneAlarm regelt den Rest - meine Erfahrung. Negativ ankreiden muss ich nur, dass mit jeder neueren Version, die Bedienbarkeit automatisierter wurde und man immer mehr klicken und suchen muss, um sich einen gezielten Р¬berblick des Firewall-Dienstes zu verschaffen. Auch nervt mich der Install-Downloader, da ich С†fter ein System neu aufsetze, will ich das eigentliche Installprogramm zur VerfСЊgung haben. FСЊr Nutzer mit deaktivierter Firewall auch wichtig: bei dem aktuellen Upgrade von ZoneAlarm wird das Programm zuerst entfernt und dann nach einem ungeschСЊtzten Neustart installiert.
