I bought this because on the high recommendations and simplicity scores. It was between this system and one manufactured by Chief Architect. I had older architect software and desired to update it. I couldnt upgrade the older software since they are no longer operating so I was required to buy new. I have had the program for about 30 days. Unfortunately, this can be one from the worst bits of SW I have ever had make use of. It is extremely hard to position inside walls the place you want them also to adjust wall lengths When you use the scroll bar to move into a different part on the drawing, your window doesnt move while using bar but waits unless you release the mouse button and THEN moves to the modern location. Most of time this is past where you wished to go to along with to reposition again. Unfortunately, I did not download the trial my bad prior to buying otherwise I would donrrrt you have bought it. I have downloaded the trial to the Chief Architect program. I wish I had gone by using it rather than that one.

First of Im a Broderbund 3-D Home Architect Deluxe Fan!!! I figured since I found the product by way of Broderbunds website it would be a terrific Hell I was WRONG!!!
This product crashes anytime I try and save!!! I spent a hour or so then attempted to save and froze up, my computer along along with it!!! So I restarted my computer went back on the program and attemptedto save again this time simply a few seconds in it did it again!!! It did that a couple of times! I am now along the way of returning the crappy product!!!
On the surface of it all its selection and customization is VERY Lacking!!! It also doesnt permit you to create corner cabinets!!!

Punch appears to have a 17.5 version. WHY IS AMAZON still selling an adult version via download. Seems many features inside the 17.5 version will not be there inside 17.0 version. Seems like a bait and exchange signal of me. Lesson learned, won't buy Encore again. Id claim that everyone else use Chief Architect or likewise software.

I purchased this computer software from Office Depot a couple weeks ago. Pretty much exactly like the older versions; not really that great. What really bugs me a lot more than anything could there be is no substitute for save into a pdf. format. If this isn't bad enough the DXF and DWG file writers look like corrupted. I have to save everything being a JPG and scale it manually. Not happy this at all. I thought beyond doubt they would have an substitute for save as PDF. But in 14 yrs, since I bought my first version of this method, they still havent have it together. Very very poor file writing. Lacking industry standard formats, lacking any convenience in any respect when it comes to actually printing your intends to scale.

I want it, but it really could be easier to work with. There are some things which are frustrating in relation to mouse drags along with the 3D rendering is sweet but some in the perspective has this zoomed in feeling. They need to generate you feel like and ant after you do the 3d walk. This has some good features layout on the beginning is excellent, VERY NICE lay out a property or project extremely fast then go into edit mode to make your changes. I would recommend this I would also like to view a couple of changes.

I experienced a previous version in the same program. Some with the drop down menus eradicated. Punch tech support has not been willing to try and solve the challenge other than reload the app. Did this but problem remained. I needed to work with previously created files, so were required to get and pay for a fresh version. No rise in functionality except to the laser guideline when drawing a wall with possible joining to an alternative wall.
