Default view doesnt show the folder tree. Neither does classic view.

Ive used WinZip for 2 decades. Im a solo software developer. Winzip is a critical tool. Its my version control and backup system. Yeah, Ive tried formal version control software as well as other backup tools, but Winzip hasn't ever let me down. I happily funded it even when money was tight. Recent updates have increasingly hidden critical features. Version 19 as done away which has a real classic view altogether. Ive attempted to adapt to it, but will downgrade and cancel my subscription. The straw that broke the camels back? A nearly impossible-to-find feature to choose certain files inside an archive. So, pretty, however, there is nothing within the current version-19, IIRC-that I dont already manage more readily myself, for example integrating my cloud back services.

Interesting enough, if previous version registration data is requested online, I get exclusively for WinZip Courier 6.0 which had been purchased when i was younger. No registration info was ship to registered versions from then on.

I bought winzip 18.5 with a reduced price a month ago, 11 14 14, I could not download because at each of the goog links I tried, that it was only set to load new 19. I emailed winzip ans these people were very good about helping, but even they kept sending me links for 19. Finally I almost lost the fight I explained my purchase was for your 18. 5 version, they sent the proper link also it worked out fine. I have to the email replys were fast and intensely helpfull, on the other hand mindset is for the revolutionary 19 version,,, dont stop trying,,,,,

Yes, it truely does work and improves compression of WinZip by as much as 30% when the source WinZip archive contains PDF, SWF, JAR, or PNG files.

This add-on is incredibly useful for running listfile file backups. However you have to read a number of help sections for getting all the switches right. It would be much faster in case you could create/edit listfiles and run them from the inside of the WinZip UI.
This product is really a worthwhile update to the winzip command line support increase. Its somewhat hard to make use of understandable for just a command line driven product but it truely does work extremely well. Just a word of warning.
