I bought winzip 18.5 with a reduced price two to three weeks ago, 11 14 14, I could not download because at every one of the goog links I tried, that it was only set to load new 19. I emailed winzip ans we were holding very good about helping, but even they kept sending me links for 19. Finally I almost quit I explained my purchase was for your 18. 5 version, they sent the best link and yes it worked out fine. I have to repeat the email replys were fast and extremely helpfull, however mindset is for the revolutionary 19 version,,, dont quit,,,,,

If you intend to spend money on every little upgrade, buy this supplement. I bought Winzip 16.5 only a year ago and yes it auto upgraded it self to Winzip 17.5 then called for 20.00 to make use of it again. I are in possession of to uninstall 17.5 manually, head over to an archive site and re-install 16.5 if I should not pay the upgrade fee. I have plenty of software attached with my systems, Corel officially provides the WORST upgrade policy of of them. I would suggest using another decompression utility. I use Outlook 2003 over a Windows XP system. I use Word 2003 for editing my emails. Ive been using WinZip because the PKZip days. Ive never had any difficulties with it. That is until I purchased WinZip Pro 17.0. I purchased it completely from WinZip for an upgrade. I installed it and Outlook started crashing. I started uninstalling software and rebooting seeking to pin down the situation. After using WinZip its these years, I assumed that Winzip couldnt be the challenge. Finally I uninstalled WinZip and Outlook stopped crashing.
I had quickly decided how the ZipSend would be a pain. And I couldnt allow it to become go away. I uninstalled, rebooted and reinstall the WinZip Pro believing that I could deselect ZipSend. Thats not a choice. The crashing continued. When I uninstalled Winzip it stopped.
I contacted WinZip and asked for just a downgrade to WinZip regular without ZipSend. They emailed me a link along with a new activation code. I thought my problem was fixed. ZipSend was gone and Outlook wasnt crashing. Well, it went back. Outlook is again have contracted ZipSend and again it really is crashing. It is determined that I should use ZipSend for larger attachments. I prefer Media Fire. I would deselect it within the toolbar and yes it would come back.
In all on the years I have owned computers, I have had one virus infection. Fortunately it wasnt one on the really nasty viruses. It took approximately 30 minutes to obtain rid of it. My ZipSend infection has become worse compared to virus.
Im planning to give the WinZip folks another opportunity to make this right. If they cant or wont, then I must move on to something different.

Program is excellent, but in the event you have multiple computers you want make use of it on, you might have to buy additional copies or choose the multi-user license from your developers website. Too expensive in my view. Look for cheaper or free alternatives.

Winzip continues to be kept current with added tools like encryption. I are unsure how well this works, haven't tried it, but Winzip has traditionally been a top quality product.
