The download doesn't exist. Microoft wont enable you to get a good copy of windows, they only allow you to get what they really want. Vista sucks, and 7 aint greater.

I ran 7 for 2 months determined too many things missing that XP has and didnt such as the features it had, nearly everyone is useless.

This review was beneficial because it has, finally, shown me that Microsoft dont value being fair! Tv programs that worked fine when first create on XP media version now dont work; and they desire to charge for upgrading to windows I can get a full blown flat screen TV for half the purchase price!!

Sorry, just saw your reply. Your sarcasm is noted. When I wrote the review, I was frustrated that I couldnt just download Media Center alone. I was also aggravated while MS excluding XP support looking at the products with the sole aim of pushing visitors to the new OS. However, its unimportant. This review was almost couple of years ago, and individuals should definitely be looking for another thing by now, regardless of whether its not Windows. Windows 7 is wonderful, but people moves with Ubuntu if your upgrade is cost-prohibitive; desktop Linux has come a long ways, plus the upgrades cost nothing.
Also, I know it seems silly you may anticipate that links to XP Media Center Edition point out XP Media Center Edition and not something more important. Maybe its CNETs problem, and in addition they just need to defeat this faulty download listing.

I downloaded these drivers and experimented with run this program. Win XP Hardware installer took over and repeatedly couldn't find the drivers irrespective of where i had it look. Now each and every time I reboot my system the brand new hardware installer shows up and efforts to run the drivers. I cant work out how to stop this.
