I never hold the issue. i simply get the installer package from your realtek site also it takes care with the uninstall-reboot, install-reboot along with the change is performed. little else but drivers and software process may be very smooth and since v2.71. i not really know bout the and/or whatever they tack on and whether an opt out dialogue box is added. I do not use that method anymore. just a direct realtek site download. simple to find and accomplish, and still have been safe and clean for years
