I recommend using a newer version that has a longer support lifetime. Naveed it sounds as if you installed the beds base version of SQL Express, which doesnt include Management Studio. And why are you installing 2008 today anyway and why the x86 version? I strongly suggest using a more sophisticated version which has a longer support lifetime. At the very least, even when you need to utilize a 2008 engine for whatever reason, you need to be using Management Studio 2012 SP1, which can be free and fully functional without any on the limitations that existed in past versions of SSMS Express.
