This version of Windows can be a great improvement. I never found Vista it is a shame, there have been some things that drove me slightly mad but this version does fix those problems. I managed to set up and get my machine operational in under 1 hour. I only had to put in a few drivers and even though I was doing those it started download others inside background, ones where it had probed the USB ports and discovered additional hardware.
Microsoft has learned by their errors this time around with many of the inbuilt software like a Mail application and Messenger tools. So you lack a Mail application which you dont use always trying to become the prime email app any time you click using a link well it did personally in Vista. Open up IE and visit Windows Live and download the applications that you simply want for example Windows Live Mail. Anyone that moans there's no inbuilt application is now being a little odd becasue it is free and within the web to download and if you are planning to use email you then must offer an Internet connection make use of it!?

I purchase most major os's from Microsoft since Windows 3.1, some being absolutely horrible Windows ME plus some being great Windows XP. I are already using Vista since its release and im not very happy from it - its sluggish, a resource hog and has now given me driver and software issues.
