We got such a new HP laptop with Win 7 Pro 64 bit preinstalled in July 2013 coming from a reputable I think online dealer. I installed the free version of Avast and initially all was well, and bootup time was extremely swift. After in regards to a month or 2, I was prompted to update Avast, which I did. Immediately 2 problems cropped up. First, bootup time became very painfully slow sometimes nearly 5 minutes if not more before laptop computer is fully operational. Once it absolutely was booted up, it would not seem particularly slow anymore. Second, we started get the message from the lower right that copy of Windows will not be genuine build 7601. This message can be seen only occasionally usually it does NOT appear, and it also does not have any noticeable effect unless it really is related towards the slow bootup time. The screen shows our normal wallpaper. Reading somewhere that Avast could have caused the slow bootup time, I uninstalled Avast and instead installed the free version of AVG, which I still use. But both problems persist slow bootup and occasional windows not genuine message. I believe my copy of Windows is trustworthy, but interestingly, the computer doesn't have a COA sticker, a minimum of no that I can find. We also would not have Win 7 disk from MS only from HP. I strongly suspect that Avast caused the challenge, but I are unsure how to correct it. Below may be the MGADiag report.

Sound as being a hardware propblem. Mine was doing the identical thing. Problem was the harddrive was failing. Could also be you aren't meeting the minimum specs to perform it. Windows 7 needs at the very least a 2ghz processor and 4gb of ram

Ive been using win7 because it came out plus it hasnt had any of such problems. If you took the couple of minutes it takes to disable the historical past sounds they wouldnt be described as a problem. Please dont write a review upon an OS you obviously have no knowledge about. Also being a side note windows was create for an even more professional interface in contrast to macs witch is much more of an entertainment interface.

The belongings you are complaining about are probably hardware-related. If you took half the bucks you blew on the Apple and obtained a decent computer it wouldnt crash continuously.

I cant afford a 2K IM machine.
Absolutely beautiful and easy to utilize.
Recently upgraded from Vista, clean install as I did something stupid plus it made the OS explode, windows 7 was obviously a really nice change, and Im actually glad I upgraded now.
Not an enormous change from Vista. I had no complications with vista before I upgraded, but Windows 7 is indeed a nice change. Its a whole lot faster as a possible OS and I was rather glad to obtain rid from the crapware on my own old OS when I did this clean install.
I think this website is basically good.

Im having problems similar to many people I have seen on these forums. Yesterday 2012.08.04 the limited text message appeared inside the bottom corner from the screen saying:
Yesterday the desktop went black after a while and periodically there came pop-up dialogues both small and large telling me to go on the microsoft site to resolve the issue. At the site I was informed that my Windows has not been genuine and that I could purchase a new one for I cant can recall the price.
When I go on the System page with the Control Panel, on the bottom in the window in places you would expect to view the option to present an alternative product key, it says:

One other possibility is malware action try using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware free version. Download it, update it, and do a complete system scan do NOT encourage the Pro trial it might conflict together with your existing AV or malware scanners

I ran a simple scan with scanned with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware last week. Nothing untoward was reported. Im running an entire scan as I write, but I think its about to be quite some time. Ill report back around the result.
