last updates installed- each of the updates released on Oct 14, 2014
I have already been having issues every since I installed the updates released on Oct 14. When I restarted following updates were installed, the pc froze on configuring windows updates 35% complete, usually do not turn off your pc that stayed in this little screen all night. I had to make off laptop and transform it back on. This continued for a couple days. Then it quit freezing along with the updates installed. Now when windows update mission to find updates a note appears that claims that windows is just not genuine, optional update delivery will not be working, you may well be a victim of software counterfeiting. also within the right hand bottom corner on the desktop some text appears saying windows 7 build 7600 not genuine.

We got such a new HP laptop with Win 7 Pro 64 bit preinstalled in July 2013 from your reputable I think online dealer. I installed the free version of Avast and initially all was well, and bootup time was extremely quick. After in regards to a month or 2, I was prompted to update Avast, which I did. Immediately 2 problems cropped up. First, bootup time became very painfully slow sometimes around 5 minutes or even more before laptop is fully operational. Once it turned out booted up, this didn't seem particularly slow anymore. Second, we began to have the message inside lower right that copy of Windows is just not genuine build 7601. This message can be seen only occasionally most from the time it does NOT appear, and yes it does not have any noticeable effect unless it truly is related towards the slow bootup time. The screen shows our normal wallpaper. Reading somewhere that Avast might have caused the slow bootup time, I uninstalled Avast and instead installed the free version of AVG, which I still use. But both problems persist slow bootup and occasional windows not genuine message. I believe my copy of Windows is honest, but interestingly, laptop computer does not have a COA sticker, a minimum of no that I can find. We also don't have Win 7 disk from MS only from HP. I strongly suspect that Avast caused the issue, but I have no idea how to make it better. Below could be the MGADiag report.

Your symptoms are common of a race condition - almost certainly caused by a conflict between AV along with other software.
I indicate uninstalling Avast completely, and running their cleanup tool.
What other AVs have already been installed regardless of whether not activated? - most includes a free trial install of either Norton or McAfee, so its worth running the removal tools for both.
Click Save, and save the file to your folder on your personal computer.
Navigate on the folder in which you saved the file.
right-click on and select Run as Administrator to own the removal tool.
Close other programs, then run the tool. When its complete, reboot your machine whether it requires it or otherwise.
After the reboot, open an Elevated Command Prompt, and run these command
Youll be advised to reboot - do this.
Now uninstall Avast - while using normal Control Panel uninstaller.
Follow the instructions for running it, when complete, reboot your machine.
Allow it to stay down for 10 mins or so, then reboot again and reinstall Avast increase it.

Thanks for the help. I really regards.
I already had uninstalled Avast and installed AVG instead a few months ago. I followed your steps otherwise, plus uninstalled AVG. I tried the Avast cleaner anyway, however it asked with the location where Avast files were stored, though the Avast folder already was gone from my earlier uninstall awhile ago. So Im not certain that the Avast cleaner actually did anything.
But, with all of AV software uninstalled I thought, bootup seemed slightly faster. I reinstalled Avast, and immediately things got MUCH worse. First a window appeared telling me that there were 2 AVs installed I guess MSE was another? Also, bootup times got VERY long, around 10 minutes usually longer prior to a desktop icons even appeared. And then hitting an icon prior to a bootup was complete seemingly led to punishment mainly because it seemed to take even longer too!
Tonight the Windows not genuine message turned up again. I ran the NETSH WINSOCK RESET command again and uninstalled Avast. Now I have only MSE for AV software I think, along with the desktop icons appear quickly upon booting. Unfortunately, nonetheless takes quite awhile 5-10 mins before hitting one on the icons and the start button actually does anything.
I help keep monitoring and report a few weeks how bootup will be, and whether or not the not genuine maessage reappears.
Ah - I could have misunderstood things just a little. Sorry
AVG may leave stuff behind. - along with the residuals from any AV can interfere with all the proper installation of an later one.
If you didnt already achieve this, run the Avast cleanup tool again, then run the 2012 and 2014 versions in the AVG
Follow the instructions for running it, then reboot the equipment whether it requests it or you cannot, and perhaps the program rebooted already or you cannot.
Then uninstall MSE, reboot, and reinstall it - this could get rid of any residual corruption a result of possible left-overs.
Monitors Displays 15.6 built-in
Internet Speed just as much as I can get - usually on the dongle, so 1Mb/s
I did run the 2014 version of AVG remover, and not the 2012 version. Ill do that weekend. But before I ran the 2014 version, I first uninstalled AVG through the control panel. Running the remover then generated some error messages I guess it aimed to remove files it could possibly no longer find.
First, if I uninstall MSE in the control panel, can it leave residual?
Second, would you recommend reinstalling MSE again, or various other AV? I understand that MSE is lightweight as compared to some other free AVs like Avast or AVG. I liked Avast when I first installed it a few months ago, but am wary since it might be a significant resource hog the setup file is 80 mb.
Third, the Avast cleanup tool wanted a location the spot that the relevant files are situated. But the folder called Avast is finished when the program is uninstalled through the control panel. What do I specify as the positioning? I did run the tool again the other day and just devote Program Files/Avast although the folder Avast lo longer existed or wasn't visible?. The cleanup tool warned that files within the specified folder could well be irretrievable deleted. Upon execution, it flashed an email about deleting something. But I am uncertain when it actually did anything.
Thanks again. Im learning something.
MSE features a very light touch, and uninstalls cleaner than almost each of the others despite running a few of their removal tools, sometimes.
MSEs setup file is about 10MB - even so the definitions and engine download which starts its use is about 70MB last I looked. Nothing nowadays goes to be much smaller, simply because on the complexity of the its fighting.

Genuine and activated Windows 7 may sometimes been detected as pirated, illegal, rogue or otherwise not genuine, regardless of the operating system is fully covered, or continues to be able to used and fully activated in the mean time. Normally, the suddenly or random deactivation of the activated Windows 7 on genuine platform is usually resolved by just restarting the pc, to ensure that Windows 7 can re-access the activation status to return laptop computer to activated status. However, occasionally, where modification may be done to HKUS-1-5-20 registry key allowing the Network Service account to shed and missing full control and look permissions above the registry key, the losing of activated status may occur on Windows 7 too.
The Windows 7 Licensing service uses Plug and Play for getting hardware ID information and binds the license to the pc, thus change towards the setting can lead to an activated system coming across as out of tolerance. The default permissions from the Plug and Play policy tend not to grant the Licensing service, which runs within the Network Service account, the correct rights gain access to the Plug and Play service. To fix and resolve the Windows 7 activation lost issue, and produce the Windows 7 activated and genuine again, just follow one in the two workarounds below:
Determine the source with the policy. To do this, adopt these measures:
On the buyer computer extraordinary activation error, run the Resultant Set of Policy wizard by clicking Start - Run or press WinR keys, and entering because command.
If the Plug and Play service is configured by way of a Group Policy setting, you observe it here with settings apart from Not Defined. Additionally, you may see which Group Policy is employing this setting.
Disable the Group Policy settings and force the Group Policy to become reapplied.
Edit the Group Policy that may be identified in Step 1 and change the setting to Not Defined. Or, keep to the section below to include the required permissions for that Network Service account.
Force the Group Policy setting to reapply: gpupdate/force a restart on the client is usually required.
Open the Group Policy that is certainly identified in Method A, Step 1 above, and open the attached Group Policy setting.
Click the Edit Security button, then click the Advanced button.
In the Advanced Security Settings for Plug and Play window click Add after which add the SERVICE account. Then, click OK.
Run gpupdate/force after applying the permissions towards the Group Policy setting.

Windows seven may be tricky to the fact that still lets you use system while it will not be activated. With that being said some individuals forget to subscribe it or they don't have internet. I recommend that you simply call over the unit to register it. If not you then should look some where else on your laptop and there ought to be a sticker that says to you what you product number is and call microsoft and provides them the phone number. Or just go to key pad and head over to system and search were it say to activate in order to change product number.

The above report lists file mismatch and tampered files, which might be, presumably, the explanation for my problems.
I tried a Windows 7 Upgrade after downloading the most recent Windows 7 with SP1 ISO on the approved Microsoft download site - links, following upgrade/instal instructions from?ltrR but after about 3 hours grinding throughout the upgrade process it reported it turned out unsuccessful, rolled to my current installation and also on booting threw up these dialogue:
How can I resolve this matter and get my Genuine Windows 7 Ultimate to understand that it can be genuine?
Any assistance are going to be appreciated.

I would contact MS on the phone. Here are various phone activation methods. Just explain the matter to them. They are generally quite helpful.
Sony Vaio Laptop, 2.53 GHz Duo Core Intel CPU, 8 GB RAM, 320 GB HD
Thanks with the suggestion. Unfortunately it won't work. Here will be the result of following a instructions provided inside the link you suggested:
Note that there isn't any Activate Windows now icon to click. I can successfully Change product key by reinserting my original Product Key, and that is accepted.
Any idea exactly what the Australian contact number is the fact that I can phone.
You can make an effort to reactivate your version by visiting an elevated prompt and type SLUI 3, it's going to then ask on your keys. This might solve your trouble, I hope.
You really have the keys handy? NB: there is often a space between I and 3, methinks, try for both. Jean.
Old Bird, you beat me by 1 minute.
Your PrnScrn shows the Genuine stamp within the lower right corner. I had to call MS in older times and after you have to see my machine along with the helper inputting some keys, that flag arrived. Yours is there and yes it will only show once the OS is trustworthy. Can you disregard this not genuine flag? I will not know.
This SLUI 3 probably won't cure your condition, really worth trying! Jean.
Okay, now youve got me confused.
What can be an elevated prompt and what's SLUI3?

Right Click on Command Prompt within the search list and select Run as Administrator.

May the Forces of excellent computing be with you!
I am quite dazzled through your setup. As you got the flag Genuine Microsoft, why is it telling you that you will be not genuine? There can be another reason besides the appropriate keys, seems as if a faux-pas with your machine. Have you arrived at Uninstall an Update page and gotten rid with this bad one? But now, I think you going with a Recover really should have had you cleaned up and returning to before this bad upgrade.
If you head over to Control Panel - Recovery, there could be the bottom choice to Refresh in PC Settings.
I apologize here Old Bird, this above link is good for W-8 where there I was answering to you personally. I am now on my own W-7 machine and I don't see it there. You might find it in case you boot from your install DVD. Good luck. Jean.

A good nights sleep brought a bright fine morning with clear blue skies effortlessly things outside looking absolutely great, excellent for an morning walk on my small local beach, which I enjoyed, before booting my computer.
So why am I stuck here using a laptop which on booting this morning only brought dark clouds to my morning? Yes, that nasty not genuine dialogue again:
Following your kind advice I elevated prompted to, SLUI 3ed, and entered my Product Code to receive the following:
