Sound being a hardware propblem. Mine was doing a similar thing. Problem was the disk drive was failing. Could also be that you are not meeting the minimum specs to perform it. Windows 7 needs a minimum of a 2ghz processor and 4gb of ram

Ive been using win7 mainly because it came out plus it hasnt had any of these problems. If you took the little bit it takes to disable the setting sounds they wouldnt be described as a problem. Please dont write a review while on an OS you obviously don't know anything about. Also like a side note windows was create for a more professional interface in contrast to macs witch is much more of an entertainment interface.

Recently upgraded from Vista, clean install as I did something stupid and yes it made the OS explode, windows 7 would be a really nice change, and Im actually glad I upgraded now.
Not an enormous change from Vista. I had no complications with vista before I upgraded, but Windows 7 really can be a nice change. Its a lot faster as a possible OS and I was rather glad to have rid in the crapware in this little old OS when I did this clean install.
