Framework 3.0 SP2 is necessary. The BarTender installer will automatically install all Framework components. The 32-bit versions from the components are included around the CD. Newer 64-bit os Vista, Server 2008 R2, Windows 7, Server 2012, and Windows 8 all ship with all the required components.
Logging of print jobs and event messages requires either Microsoft SQL 2005 Express offered with BarTender or Microsoft SQL 2005 or maybe more Server purchased in a database vendor.
Microsoft Internet Explorer v6 or higher essential for History Explorer and BarTender help system.
Note: TCP/IP network protocol is necessary for both the Automation and Enterprise Automation editions.
