With VMware Fusion, you'll be able to run Windows and OS X applications side-by-side on your Mac. The virtualization software provides many installation options and plenty of ways to integrate Windows for your Mac workflow.
Installation options: VMware Fusion gives a handful of methods of creating a virtual machine on your own Mac. You needless to say can create a virtual machine over completely from scratch with a Windows 10 disk image. If you previously installed Apples Boot Camp, you'll be able to create a virtual machine that directly uses your Boot Camp volume, or it is possible to copy your Boot Camp volume completely to another virtual machine. You can also import into Fusion virtual machines youve designed with Parallels Desktop and Microsoft Windows Virtual PC.
Migration help: VMware Fusion incorporates a migration assistant to maneuver your apps, settings, and documents from the Windows computer to your virtual machine.
Run Mac and Windows side-by-side: You dont need to reboot to switch operating systems, since you must with Apples Boot Camp. With Fusion, you are able to run both OSes simultaneously. And unlike Boot Camp, it is possible to run Fusion plus the virtual machine from a drive. Boot Camp should be installed on an indoor hard drive. You arent on a Windows, either; you'll be able to run another version of OS X or Linux in Fusion also.
Well integrated: Copy and paste or drag and drop files between Mac and Windows environments, and copy and paste between Mac and Windows apps. You can make use of the Windows 10 Store, the Edge browser, and Cortana. Fusion includes support for DirectX 10 and OpenGL 3.3.
Multiple strategies to work in Windows: You can run Windows full screen or next to each other with the Mac environment. Or you'll be able to keep it away from sight and access it from your Windows Start menu through the Mac menu bar and launch Windows apps through the dock.
Resource intensive: Running a virtual machine strains system resources, so youll see overall operational degradation should you not have a moderately well-equipped and current Mac.

I recommend VMFUSION for virtual machine operation.
My sister had trouble running some Windows legal software BestCase within a Parallels virtual machine disappearing application window. We tried various fixes without results. The law software tech said he previously had seen the identical problem, everytime with Parallels. I decided to interchange to VMFusion. Much easier install in the virtual machine plus more intuitive interface. So far, the disappearing app problem hasn't occurred. She is pleased.
You must pay extra for customer care later.
It is supposedly the cheaper choice for fusion products, but dont buy worked for your first 10 months and from now on it is try finding learn how to get support within the VMWare Fusion website! It is an absolute minefield which guys dont use a clue tips on how to do business.

Only at the bottom with the FAQ page are you going to find which the upgrade is merely for recent buyers since Lion. All others need to buy new at top dollar 50 for just a ltd time. If 4.0.1 is installed after that link to buy goes into a broken page Digital River.
I am not being critical with the pricing, as it's time to collect some bucks for development. My complaint could be that the pricing policy is just not readily available for existing users. And as with this date I to be a registered user are yet to received any email announcement with the upgrade or its pricing. And as noted above, it can be difficult to locate it within the web site. And I wouldn't find short time for 50 defined anywhere - just how much time do I have prior to price increases? I got burned using this method with iStat Menus last upgrade, because the price expired ahead of the trial did. It would be nice not to ever be kept at night.

VMWare fusion is in no way the best virtulization software for mac for the market.
I am running Win7 off a Boot Camp disk, and everything just seems dramatically faster. The UI is snappy and windows took about 50 % of the time for it to load.
Great product which just gets better.
Fusion 3.1 installed perfectly and with no issues. XP usually boot faster and runs reasonably quickly. Must qualify that however as XP has not been fast. IE and software Update started and worked quite quickly. Windows Explorer opened in approximately 5 seconds using a 2.4GHz macBook. Word opened to use normal lethargic rate. Overall seems slightly faster.
Fusion excels on USB connections. In cases where Windows-only applications are important to control USB-connected machines on the Mac, only Fusion works and not using a hitch. Other alternatives like Parallels just cannot deliver on such scenario, crashing and losing the USB connection with all the machine all any time.
