Best version of Windows Microsoft has ever released.
Great hardware compatibility. Super quick boot-times with proper hardware. Very customizable. Networking is increasingly simple. More secure against viruses and Mal-ware than any previous version of windows. Comes pre-loaded with great apps and progs.
Uses a great deal of system resources to own.
I think Microsoft out did itself with Windows 7. Given the proper hardware it runs greater than any previous versions of Windows. It has a astounding to support various hardware and software. The utilities that can pre-loaded are better previously. You still require a third-party anti-virus but just about every other maintenance and security software comes pre-loaded. The new Internet Explorer is wonderful, but I still recommend downloading Mozilla Firefox. For anti-virus simply download the free edition of AVG from This is usually a very good showing from Microsoft.

Fast, stable, faster start-up and shutdown, great at multitasking, Aero peak and snap are nice features, and by the way, IT IS THE BEST OPERATING SYSTEM EVER!!!!
Not as works with as many programs as xp. Somewhat expensive and life cycle of battery on laptops hasnt improved much.
You could well be insane to stay with xp and vista. It isn't doubt one on the best os's ever. Congratulations for your requirements Microsoft!!!
easy make use of, faster startup some time to shut down, libraries handy, jump lists very beneficial, aero feature very helpful
Everything about windows 7 is fantastic!!
After running vista for a long time, I boughtt new comp. with windows 7 64 bit,,, like all the time Microsoft put within a lot of be to not release another vista and they release a great O.S window
Clean nice desktop. Wonderfull OS
Aero peek, snap as well as other aero features. Jump lists, Show desktop. Taskbar is fantastic.
A great OS very nice to utilize and very fast. Microsoft did a fantastic job upon it with the aid of users that you and me giving feedback and easily using the free beta and candidate releases.
While Windows 7 offers unique functionality over past Windows versions, it can be not worth 119 to upgrade. Some programs loose compatibility while some maintain better speed. It is becoming more and much more like the Mac.
The OS runs remarkably well on newer laptops Mine having 3GB RAM, programs run rather well onto it. Rather easy to use. Good for the standard home uses and mostly for College work.
Some older programs take some tweaking to acquire it to operate. Somewhat expensive.
This os was a real comeback for Windows following your Vista disaster. This one doesnt occupy much processing in comparison with its predecessor. Most older programs works on it, though many will require tweaking. On the upside, people who do need tweaking VIA Compatibility mode isnt as tough to tweak being an option was combined with test for top compatibility setting for optimal performance. Newer programs dont require most of any if any! Rather great for those like myself who are planning to college for any computer-based degree and is going to be dealing with programs old and new while studying the courses. Though about the topic of school, the price can be a bit although, precisely what does one expect from an os this good and this also fresh in to the market?

Hello, I a HP a6700f desktop with the OEM version of Vista, as well as the motherboard failed. So I ordered some other motherboard ASRock, new memory, a different case, along with a better CPU. I retained the main HDD while using OEM copy of Vista. With everything installed, I tried booting up for the new motherboard, nevertheless it would blue-screen. I then changed the HDD from default ACHI to IDE mode, also it booted up. All I had to perform was re-get into the product key, and yes it activated perfectly. Now, my dilemma is that I cant access HPs recovery options to restore the PC to your original condition. If I build a Vista image while using the method above, can I makes use of the Vista x64 OEM product key from my HP a6700f, or am I best purchasing a different copy of Windows?
Ive performed this several time with all the OEM Vista key as well as its worked fine.

I admit I am not totally versed in installing and re-installing OSs as I dont take action that often. But I happen to be totally confused that explain why you should create an ISO after which burn the ISO to your DVD. Seems as if you are just putting the files into one format, and after that undoing it. As it turns out, you dont have to try and do that. If you check out IMGBRN website, and appearance under help, they possess the topic of just how to make a Vista bootable install disk. You dont have to build an iso. You just download the exe and files from digital river the files given inside beginning with this thread then run the exe file to generate the vista directory. Then you use IMGBRN the same manner they say inside the help topic to make the bootable dvd in the vista directory. I did this today and it also works great. This saves you some steps as it truly is not necessary to generate

But once i started installation, its saying installation cancelled, ensure that to have required installation files and restart the procedure again. Whats the condition then? I used ImgBurn to build bootable dvd. Can you guide me through this?

The installing of Vista language packs could take more than 10-20 minutes too, so try to become patient. You should receive message on whether installation is a winner or failed. Until Microsoft releases Vista language packs for SP1, this tool could also temporarily accustomed to resolve the situation where multi-lingual language pack can't be installed on system with Service Pack 1 trouble with Method 1 on installation wizard.
Microsoft, just what a piece of shit products/company/mentality.
Go fuck yourself plus your disgusting practice and commercial tricks.
Linux, the majority of the languages available, free as with freedom.
No need crack, tricks, etc. simply a little commitment.
I had no issues. This worked. However, not too as I thought it'd. Overall I m really dissapointed from the MUI support from Microsoft. Oh well.
The fastest way is program that install MUI for every single Vista version.
There just isn't an unofficial version for Korean! Can anyone help me having a Korean link?
Stop using auto translator, it makes me cry, no less than for spanish it really is awesomely horrifying.
It is often a lot easier even for folks who understand sintactic differences between spanish and english to see english than this crappy translations.
Automatic translation sucks, no less than for spanish, please stop using crap, it truly is easier to understand english as opposed to awesomely horrifying spanish auto translation.
I ve been wanting to swtich returning to my french Vista Home Premium SP1 that it was in English following a complete recovery with Vista MUI Tools but without sucess. MUI french package was really still there but I couldn t find a method to activate it
Then I came across this perfect freeware called Vistalizator along with 3 clicks as well as a reboot; I safely came back with a french environment.

Mount an ISO image in Windows 7, Windows 8, 10, or Vista
Enter your email below for getting exclusive use of our best articles and tips before the competition.
The freeware utility from Microsoft to mount ISO Images doesn t work with Windows 7 or Vista. Thankfully there s another utility that does.
The utility that any of us will use is known as Virtual Clone Drive. This utility allows you to files. Download the utility and begin the setup process.
Select Yes or OK on the hardware prompt and continue. You might should restart your personal computer. Now you need to be capable to mount any ISO image by simply double-clicking within the file. You also can right-click for the cd-rom drive to mount or unmount a picture.
Notes: If you are about to reinstall this utility, ensure you uninstall it first, or maybe you ll BSOD yourself repeatedly. Also, as from the latest version, this utility should work with Windows 7 or Vista 64 bit edition.
Alcohol 52% Free version of Alcohol 120, but it really bundles a browser toolbar which they claim isn t spyware. It s unacceptable.
Daemon Tools Well known tool, but the newest version installs spyware with your computer, along with the old version doesn t work with Vista or 7.
At now, Virtual CloneDrive is undoubtedly my favorite free utility.
Ever since Windows 8, it s worth noting that ISO and VHD mounting is made right into the os. All you ought to do is right-click, double-click, or select and utilize Ribbon to Mount an ISO image. It s exactly that simple:
Once you ve complied, you ll begin to see the ISO mounted as a fresh drive in Computer. You can right-click there to unmount once you re done.
Lowell Heddings, more well known online as being the How-To Geek, spends all his leisure time bringing you fresh geekery over a daily basis. You can follow him on Google if youd like.
Daemon Tools preps Vista aswell.
The warning about Daemon Tools is utterly true. I actually use a very old version of the usb ports, from before they added the spyware, nevertheless it doesn t work that well.
After having used Virtual Clone Drive for any while, it s really an incredible application. I ve had no problems at all by it, also it s a great deal easier to work with. Not to mention being fully free.
Deamon Tools v3 is just not compatible, maybe v4, but we have a spyware inside.
Virtual Clone Drive, costs nothing, easy to utilize, and do precisely the same job as Deamon Tools.
and work nicely on Vista. Unacceptable may be the right word for this.
Unacceptable will be the perfect word correctly.
I have no concept why many families love Daemon tools much. Everybody I speak to uses it. I guess everybody I talk with also has spyware on his or her machine.
Myself, I m a cheerful user of Virtual Clone Drive.
There are Blue Screen of Death problems with virtual clone drive and Vista. It s a terrific program and all of, but it really s just about ready for Vista. There s a post for the slysoft forums about them likely to update it after they release the HD version of AnyDVD.
Sorry being a lesser geek here, even so installed VCD and i also can t have it to load any ISO images. I have a very full version of Nero 7 recently released for Vista, however it s Imagedrive doesn t benefit Vista, well, i thought i might try this.
I ve not had any issues with Virtual Clone Drive. I m using it over a bunch of different machines without any issues. as long while you don t try to reinstall it over itself.
Tried to own Virtual Clone on VISTA ULTIMATE 64 error msg. cannot run program with this version of Vista! please deliver an allternative! thank you
Use alcohol 120, works in Vista and it has a right click mount option for the drive icon.
Alcohol 120 is usually a great utility, nonetheless it s not free, so that it s definitely not a solution for everyone.
Any other ideas for Vista 64? I happen to be perfectly very pleased with MagicDisc from MagicISO because of this task, but driver won t load properly in Vista 64:
According thus to their website, MagicISO now supports Vista 64 I don t have 64bit version installed in this little machine for the moment, so I can t test drive it out.
Anybody want to use it out and i want to know when it works?
Note that I still prefer VirtualCloneDrive for normal users, because it s a lot easier make use of.
Alcohol 120% would possibly not be free, but there is however indeed a free of charge version with the same program named alchol 52% that allows upto 6 virtual drives which is a lot more than enough personally. Another limitation is the fact that it will not burn images into optical media like 120%. I don t mind that either. But I gotta warn you. After a recent update of my beloved AVG Free Antivirus, blue screen of death begun to appear whenever I make an effort to mount a graphic. So I uninstalled AVG Free and installed Avira s Antivir Personal Edition Classic: Another recommended freebie antivirus.
The question for you is, does Alcohol 52% work with Vista 64?
Now that I consider it, Alcohol 52% is NOT free if you do not want to put in some toolbar that appears like spyware crap in my opinion.
I recommend not inatallation.
This program sounds great, but I will warn all who download: although mounting discs is usually a great method to save dvd s/cd s, it also can cause many BSOD s, so please build a system restore point before installing such a software. Also, take note associated with a system files it uses, keep in mind that, this can save you hours of grief.
I keep hearing people speak about BSODs with ISO mounting software I ve been using these for just a long time, without ever developing a single error.
I aatest that Virtual Clone is often a very nice, clean product. Works great. Only wish I could affect the icon with the disc its some goofy looking sheep!
If you open the Virtual CloneDrive through the start menu, there s a solution to let down the Virtual Sheep, that will remove the icon.
Errr About Daemon Tools. You can actually choose not to fit the spyware part Search Bar inside setup process. I have it installed in this little XP machine plus it works perfectly well, without so-called spyware. If you ask me, simply a moron would blindly click next in almost any software installation nowadays reminds me of MsgPlus! adware thing until they changed the setup process.
Daemon Tools must have simply made the merchandise commercial and charged a few dollars because of it. It s unacceptable so they can bundle spyware in different form, whether or not they enable you to remove it.
Spam and Spyware should NEVER be tolerated.
DT is considered the best of protection emulation, so I don t worry for something that they can don t force you to put in in the first place.
MagicDisk crashed my 32-bit Vista.
This is perfect after losing Nero s ImageDrive in Vista. I ve been using NRG2ISO to convert my old stuff
I ve heard varying quantities of success with MagicDisk that s why I m sticking with all the VCD recommendation.
OMG It works! Thanks alot, alcohol 120% didnt go a long way! But this works perfect! Thanks!!!!
VCD doesn t work flawlessly. While looking to xcopy from a graphic mounted with VCD, that it was impossible to perform so. Daemon Tools however accomplishes this fine, and has the many cp emulation to start. I also found the icons folder to eliminate my main gripe with all the program, that being the ugly tray icons it has.
MagicDisc won't work on Vista 64, it's a yellow bang alongside MagicDisc SCSI in device manager. I m hoping someone could figure out how to be installed.
Ok, here s a fix to permit MagicDisc to own in Vista x64
In command prompt, execute each in the following commands:
Reboot laptop computer, and reinstall MagicDisc
Found you having a search ASK today, I think, although I usually use Google. Loaded VirtualCloneDrive and installed it immediately. Wasn t quite sure tips on how to respond to your select your hardware question during setup but selected the only real available option and neglected ahead. Figured if I didn t select anything, which had been offered for an option, it could search everything within the system Anyway, it proceeded to completion without problem, at which I wasn t sure what to accomplish. Looking back for the article I generally don t close my open programs when installations inform me to I realized I should chose the ISO file and double-visit it. I expected to receive a mounting dialog what drive letter, etc. but it immediately wished to autoplay the DVD image I d recorded. I sleected Media Center as being the option or longer it came. GREAT ADVICE! THANK YOU.
I will tell you that DAEMON Tools 4.09 X64 works in Vista 64 ensure u find the second version X64 not X86.
Also imperative that you untick the Search Bar when installing or it can place adware for you computer. If you forget you may uninstall the search bar later from Control Panel- Programs and Features. which may be the new add/remove thingy.
7Zip will mount ISOs too, its free and yes it spanks WinZip and WinRar whuile it's at it.
I agree that 7-Zip is the better archiving program available. It does well at file manipulations on ISOs, but after looking on the help files along with the forum on their web page I found not a way of mounting an ISO from it. I ve installed VirtualCloneDrive on my own Vista Home Premium system and also have not had points that I m sure originated it. I have had system freezes when I use Media Center to experience DVD images that I ve mounted being an ISO, but I ve had the same principle happen together with the actual DVD within the drive, so I think it s a challenge with Media Center.
I ve read that MagicISO and MagicDisk work fine with Vista. So I installed and crashed Vista Home Premium. Had to completely restore.
so this can be an opened question on the floor HOw may i do that if daemon and clone wont even install in this little OS?
I will tell you that DAEMON Tools 4.09 X64 works in Vista 64 ensure that u obtain the second version X64 not X86.
Also essential to untick the Search Bar when installing or it's going to place adware you computer. If you forget you'll be able to uninstall the search bar later from Control Panel- Programs and Features. which would be the new add/remove thingy.
I d being a command line based tool that I can script the mounting and unmounting of virtual CD s, this way my kid can double-click an icon which is in fact a cmd file that unmounts the present game and mounts the selected one
What do you've got against VirtualCloneDrive? It s not command-line based, however it already is not difficult enough for that kid make use of. Just double-click around the new ISO image, plus it replaces the existing one. Standard auto-start options apply too.
I use UltraIso to create, burn my ISO files. It includes a Virtual disk application with good shell integration.
It still works following the trial ends. Its only 29 for that Pro version plus it includes lifetime updating!
Just downloaded and tried to put in Virtual Clone Drive 5, my PC BSOD d around the install my first BSOD with Vista Home Premium
Was competent to recover without having long term ill-effects by loading from last known good configuration.
I ve been using Virtual Clone Drive for many months now under Vista Home Premium. My version is 5.1.4.5. I don t know the reasons you d get yourself a BSOD.
Latest News, MagicDisc could work properly on Windows Vista x64. Now I can mount iso file on windows vista x64.
Can these programs be utilized to copy system files in the Vista install DVD for your C drive?
I got MagicDisc for Vista-64 Intel Dual Core 64 w200G raid on Intel D945NT MB directly from your link posted above forkart on August 16, 2007 8:11 am and it also installed perfectly and place up a tray icon. I test mounted and accessed folders and files from the 3 iso files. Works great!
I am using PowerISO on Vista X86 Ultimate without the need of problems. Can mount ISOs, read and modify ISOs, create ISOs
WHOOAAA thanks dude, I realle was required to mount images on my own computer
I just want to state that Magicdisc by MagicISO blends with Windows Vista 64.
You should look at FantomDVD. It will allow you to own as many virtual devices while you want also it works great in Vista. Also it comes having an easy to make use of management system.
PowerISO creates Vista Ultimate x64 just great. It has numerous features to it too that some on the others don t have together with the exception of Alcohol120 maybe. You can mount every one of the image formats, and in the same time explore either exactly the same images that happen to be mounted or any other images. I ve used MagicISO, DaemonTools, and many others when I ran XP Pro I have to point out that PowerISO is my favorite and it also actually preps x64 systems. While I don t on the other options seeing as how sooner or later I ran each one I do recommend you might try PowerISO within the others.
And furthermore. to The Geek your comment can be a bit ignorant I mean this inside most non-offensive possible way about 64 bit Vista is pointless at this time in history, since half the application doesn t work onto it. That is so far from your truth. I am not big on Microsoft, and I ve ran several distros of Linux as well as other OS too BUT I trust giving credit where it really is due. Vista x64 Ultimate will run just about everything. Anything it won t run normally has a more superior alternative that Vista x64 WILL run due for the fact that you'll be able to make better programs for x64 architecture. The blame doesn t fall on x64 Vista or x64 XP as an example it falls within the creators with the software. x64 architecture is far a lot better than 32bit as well as the authors from the software ought to get off their asses and step up to your plate and earn the software operated with either architecture for the time being and eventually they should head to x64 only and obtain rid of 32bit altogether. I am broke as hell almost all of the time and I have 3 kids to compliment and a woman with expensive tastes over a broke budget yet I STILL use a PC running x64 Vista Ultimate and every one of the software I must do anything I could possibly want on my own PC. There isn't any excuse for your PC world not to ever step approximately x64 and phase out 32bit excluding pure LAZINESS and being cheap. I have of Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office 2007, the many top-rated online games are installed in my PC, WinRAR, a great deal of programming software, ftp clients, i even have classic games like The 7th Guest and System Shock 1 and two installed and they also ALL RUN. Now if I can operate a game from 16 years ago in my PC which was supposed to set up from DOS prompt using a CD with a 32bit machine, I have trouble believing that x64 Vista won t run half it out there when you put it.
1 x64 Vista is designed for serious PC users only. Those that aren t skilled at having a PC and ultizing Windows should stay with x86.
2 Some software needs for being set for the right Compatibility settings under its properties running correctly for the reason that creator from the software won t log off their ass to make it x64 compatible. yet Vista continues to be able to own it once you learn what you do.
As I said earlier, I m not much of a fan of Microsoft. I could list one thousand flaws of MS to complain about like how these are forming monopolies about the markets using Vista to force you to definitely buy Xbox 360 controllers, also of Microsoft, for Vista if you'd like to employ a game controller with a lot of popular games but don t blame x64 architecture or Vista or XP x64 Pro for is it creator s fault.
No offense taken I wrote this article from the very beginning of january, when there actually were serious driver problems most manufacturers have since added drivers, while not all.
I feel that people don t change to 64-bit because from the volume of software written for 32-bit, particularly office environments. It s exactly about backwards compatibility and risk.
By just how, your statement about freeware utility from Microsoft to mount ISO Images doesn t are employed in Windows Vista is just not correct. It may not are powered by 64 bit systems nevertheless it runs fine on my small 32 bit Vista systems. Been making use of it since December 06.
Virtual clone drive works with a few of computers with Vista on the company perfectly but some computers really totaly crash and after that we have to make use of te repair utility to have them back in life again.
So for us it truly is not a trusted tool for utilizing with Vista. A pitty since the tool is not difficult and - when non of those problems occure- an incredibly fine tool.
Where the situation is? Really don t know, most of us use Vista together with the latest updates and also the most recent version of Virtual clone drive.
MagicDisc from MagicISO works great in my Vista 64-bit installation.
Virtual Cd works fine in Vista. Just remember to right click and run as administrator
Deamon tool works fine. But we have a big symptom in VISTA. Deamon tool create virtual drive as being a 0: 1: 2: etc. which isn't display in Computer. Then how to spread out the CD/DVD image after mount the virtual drive? I install Alcohol 120% during my Laptop which can be VISTA OS. During installation, Blue Screen in open with Physical Memory Dumb. Each time I open my OS either Safe mode or normal mode, this screen is open and there is no wish to back up my previous state
I m still happily using Virtual CloneDrive, about the if-if-works-don t-fix-it theory. It creates as numerous drives because you request, starting with all the letter you specify. I see that I actually don't use anything but one; I keep my iso images one directory, and doubleclicking one automatically mounts it on my small first virtual drive. The change immediately occurs in Computer.
Comment 1 to Debabrata Hazra: You say Deamonsic tool works fine, then describe problems from it, you are able to t open the virtual drive. Sounds in my experience as though Daemon Tools is just not actually working very well by any means! Possibly you can type the address in, 1:VIDEOTS and pay attention to it this way. But why would you wish to? Why not just pick another solution, like Virtual CloneDrive?
Comment 1 to Debabrata Hazra: try and find an alternative instead of Safe mode; hopefully you may get to some command line and restore the system coming from a restore point.
I m pretty satisfied with Vista, although I hope MS genuinely does come out with a few fixes soon. Nearly half with the programs I install is not going to run, usually producing the xxxx has eliminate error. Sometimes, whether it turns out to get a Data Execution Protection error, I could add it on the list of programs I ve excluded from checking with the. Sometimes, as inside case of an Microsoft product called Internet Explorer, it just will never run whatever. Good thing I hold the capability to modify rendering engines to get a tab in Firefox; that can care of those few offensive sites that only run using IE.
Sorry to blather on. Good luck.
Nice and Been developing a big problem with one of these iso files in vista but this time its resolved!
Debabrata Hazra I had the exact same issue. Here will be the solution:
When it s booting, select F8 and select last known good configuration.
Then once in windows, immediately open user interface and uninstall it. Note that before you choose any other option for the boot menu, it will seek to load the motorist on boot and perform usual blue screen.
I was ready for am ISO mounter for Vista, googled determined your site. VCD is one thing I have used upon an older machine but forgot regarding it. Thanks for your reminder.
Elby and Slysoft products rock. I have already been using CloneDVD and AnyDVD for 4 years roughly and they are incredibly nice. Product updates come out with a regular basis.
PowerISO works best for me personally on Vista Home Premium 32 bit. Its an effective utility without any added frills and toolbars, addware etc.
VirtualCloneDrive is hands-along the best ISO utility I have found. I have put on the extender for several years and also have yet to discover one feature I will not like. Easy-to-use and basically idiot proof.
I was just likely to let everyone realize that PowerISO can be useful for and even though there's a pro version, the trial will without any problems, just won't let you open an iso on the certain size or create an iso spanning a certain size. Works great in my opinion on XP and Vista. Set the alternatives how you would like, but you'll be able to add it on the context menus in windows explorer and everything.
I m running DaemonTools in Vista x64 with virtually no problem.
Daemon tools is loved by countless because it does exactly what it really is supposed to certainly nothing more.
There are 3 flavors Lite, Personal fee-based and Pro fee based. The lite version is included with spywareadware whatever you desire, but YOU HAVE THE CHOICE TO NOT INSTALL IT AND STILL USE DAEMON TOOLS
It works, also it works well.
Thanks alot for that tip, mounting iso s never been easier until you happen to get using linux:o
Can Vista Basic 32bit or any Vista OS be cloned and what software or methods should be taken so as to make this happen.I have looked and tried many ways to try and do this but MicroSoft Vista has evolved its B disk structure and moved some files making sure that you cannot perform a perfect clone that may be boot ready now I really know what your all thinking why would this person wish to clone his OS and not merely bkup restore well I would've to state that if the law permits us to clone One exact copy of an movie DVD for backup then you should an OS let's admit it the value tag for your Vista Hog is large unlike that of the 30 I know of just one way nonetheless its to much of the pain inside the ass can someone point out a straightforward solution with software and I mean software that claims its Vista Ready and really is just not and I think everybody know what I mean talk about those software names please feel free to permit me to know and even direct me to some site or software or forum that could show me the solution to clone this % Hog over rated over wanna be OSX with each of the bells and HoHaaaa love Linux Mac but we're also stuck to operate with Windows you receive what I mean please I don;t want to operate Vista within an XP VM Shell window thats not personally it works but I want the real thing CLONE VISTA no friggin around with copy protection athentication Paradox-Clony great work from those just One simple process to clone an excellent no hair pulling and then click and Clone clone clone ok thanks alot with and if I had my way Vista could well be next to my the 32 bit 64 bit trash where it live free the Clone Masters of yesteryear and don t be offended by my not loving this new OS bye from Zebra it s not that which you they can build it you can rebuild it better and our is a great one yes? unless your a programmer who is employed by BGates don t think he got where he or she is today without cracking some thumbs of his very own peers along the best way later all.
Acronis True Image is going to do what you wish. Probably later version of Ghost too, but I haven t used Ghost for a long time
I suggested Acronis TrueImage, but don t see my post
Thank-you Bill Condie Thanks to the info on ghost and TI but we've tried them both with shall I? no luck until now.
But ghost 2002-3 seems to have abit done should your willing to tweak nevertheless I don't have any simple a single click option software for cloning Vista like I did with earlier Windows OS.
I know there may soon be considered a work around as I have seen in a few forums for instance the well put together Tutorial by Mudcrab using a site in which I cannot remember right now nonetheless it still takes many time I don t think the average joe would realize it that well either. I used a course that cost get rid of then 39 called Dvd DriveClone it functions easy cheap and anyone can use it with little comp exp this program is effective but the newest Vista ready version will never clone back it makes a great clone to a persons vision but once you look deeper it offers some missing and moved files too bad the offer blows ghost on your way and TImage I mean wise its easy to operate with,,, around my oppinion it gives you each of the same more and more programs still this Vista Clone problem is my face.I have 8 computers all which I run XPpro aside from one Mac and One running Fedora and one which has a dual boot 98se and 2000 combo for my personal 2 notebooks I have ontop of such mentioned are Vista bundled with basic and there complete slow running hogs without having place to go but my dealing with them is necessary so I reached deep into my wallet for my daughters sake and bought yes paid to the damm Vista Os not some ISO away from the web torrent version that I now wished I had done since I can have saved myself some a serious amounts of big bucks to have an OS that sucks I know I got a bundled ver however, if I attempted to clone it wipe over get rid of os with no restore its in the factory and they also told me its your trouble your software programs are nolonger under warranty since you tried to create a copie of figure that you out my problem time my computer my paid clone software and my right to produce a back up beneath the laws of however they screwed me over making me feel as being a criminal well if I really wanted my OS being a hack ISO version I could practice it within thirty minutes but no I went the proper way and bought the damm OS and today I can t clone it I can t get rid of the usb ports no money back,,,, and heres the notebook is usually a Toshiba Sat and it is possible to forget about putting XP onto it the %%%% drivers are nolonger currently sustained by the Toshiba here I am stuck that has a comp and Os and clone software that every combinded together add as much as one hell of the mess and numerous lost and Vista as well as the new computer companys can all go kiss my new hacking ass they cook people go towards that end with there bloody greed and laws that be employed in there favor not the love hackers I hate the corps which make us buy there mistakes beginning its the greed that bytes them inside ass I am waiting out my time for your Vista Clone a single click hack its comming keep in mind that its already within the all through the rising Hackworth Team if you opt for it someone will you need to it from you in the flick click out you are going zebra was here. Hello, just planned to add that I installed MagicDisk in my Windows Vista Ultimate x64 flawlessly. You only need to press install anyway for the install prompt because driver is unsigned. Besides that everything sticks to mounting as numerous ISO files when you want without cost and without spyware, yay!
After installing the approval, I used the free MagicDisc The program resides as part of your taskbar notification area where you are able to mount files. The program will basically build a virtual DVD drive using a designated letter usually E:, F:, G: and thus on you may select among those virtual drives and mount a photo. After this the files are available through Windows Explorer since you would normally do so that has a physical Cd or DVD. Hope it assists.
I have tried just about every ISO loading program I can find that claims it in concert with windows vista 64 bit. None have worked to date. I keep geting larger than fifteen Windows cannot access the Disc, the disc could be corrupt and so forth Every ISO I have tried are in work just fine in Windows Xp. I have tried several work arounds I have read within the net and have absolutely yet to get anything that works. I am running Windows Vist 64 Ultimate final release. If anyone includes a working solution please permit me to know. Very frustrated!
Ok, seems like I may 've got it working. Seems many of my iso files had gotten corrupted some how. After moving back on Xp they were not loading. Loaded up some backups I burnt to cd and up to now all is working even Vista 64.:
Hi all, I just install latest WinRar trial v3.71 plus it works for handling most compressed files which enable it to even open ISO file in the snap. I copied the iso file to HD first though because I hate it when it's got some errors inside the middle of reading from CD/DVD directly. And no, I m not from WinRar company or it s salesperson lol:p, I should pay in the event the trial perioed expire, darn you WinRar!!
Chondro, try 7-zip. I like it a lot better than WinRar also it s free. But both these provide only a strategy to access the files in the ISO image, not much of a way of executing software as when it came in the CD or DVD. For which you need something such as VirtualCloneDrive, also free. That way if you've got an ISO image of something, a game title or movie, you simply mount it for the virtual disk and your laptop thinks the exact disk may be inserted right into a drive.
once i mount a image into VCD i am going into my computer to open up up the game and yes it says,
the disc can be corrupt, be sure the disc uses a
format that windows recognizes. if your disc is unformater
you have to format it before deploying it.
Running Vista Home Premium, had Daemon Tools working for just a while always shakily, then suddenly it stopped. Rather than be arsed to determine why, I downloaded MagicISO plus it worked seemlessly. Thank you How-To-Geek for your number of suggestions. It s nice which you list a range to choose from on the site.
I recommend MagicIso as Daemontools adjusted spyware.
I still like VirtualCloneDrive. Been with it forever, now. Works great. I don t have to think about this.
Magic Disk have recently launched an x64 edition, for those you on the market who got the 64 bit Vista platform.
I had daemon tools on my small laptop which can be new and was included with vista basic plus it didnt work.
New users to Vista often don t understand that almost all things are run as being a regular user. You can right click within the program icon or start menu entry to acquire additional options. One these is Run As Administrator. Sometimes in the event you run the installer for just a program just as one Administrator you are able to avoid requiring you to authenticate each time you run. Experiment.
I didn t notice using their company replies but Alcohol 52% offers a totally free version now. You can choose not to set up the toolbar if you need. No spywares, at the very least not that I know of.
URL for virtual clone drive, doesn t seem like anyone else posted it. The link within the article is dead.
Thanks with the comment, updated the content.
I can not understand why people break their links it really baffles me. Seems like they can want people utilizing their software.
Guys, as i mount the iso image and try to operate it, Vista keeps telling me you would like be an Admin to instal the program. Pls help
Right Click Run as Admin option isn't show while i right click around the virtual drive.
If what it's all about comes once you try to perform the image, it s not because with the virtual drive software but the picture itself. Perhaps the whole picture you mounted is a fresh operating system or something such as that? Perhaps you learn about installing Ubuntu from inside windows and they are trying against each other?
Anyway, the challenge is coming from the software program on the disk image. If you right click within the virtual drive, there should be a solution to explore the drive. Try that, and find out what s for the image. will advise you what program runs when it truly is started just like once you insert a cd in the real drive. If you really wish to try the application on the style, right click within the program listed inside autorun file, and run that as administrator. Just be careful. Sometimes there s at this moment it requires an Admin. Don t undertake it unless you know very well what you accomplish.
I love Virtual CloneDrive it functions fine and I haven't any SpyWare found from it.
It work together with vista and is particularly easy to fit and set.
Hi, i've got never used virtual clone drive before, even so am a consistent user of Daemon Tool, also i will not LOVE Daemon Tools, i only downloaded it because everyone uses it and yes it works in my Vista Perfectly.
The version of daemon tools that i've got has no window! it s just an icon about the taskbar you right click! You should try it Geek
I am really impressed together with your replies! you solution Nearly everyone in most within your posts
man many thanks for all your help.
I tried Virtual Clone Drive for the while now. But if I permit the pc run 24/7 virtually every day it had recovered coming from a blue screen. I searched what caused it, and do not found it. Until today the place that the blue screen was still being showing on my small screen. It was causes by You can guess where this sys is associated with.
I was running Vista business 32bit all latest updates and VCD 5.3.0.1
Daemontools V 4.0 and later on include mandatory, unseperatable adware/spyware, however versions before that instead were sponsored when you are bundled with adware/spyware applications inside installer that could be easily prevented from being installed, these versions work great on XP. However, I do not determine if these versions focus on Vista.
I ve been an admirer since I first discovered it.
Suddenly it offers stopped working.
How the heck do I uninstalled that to evaluate!
In XP, whatever you d have to complete is enter into add/remove prgrams.
Vista is crippled Mac-style, so I doubt you ll be able to perform it effortlessly without using system restore. However, I have limited knowledge about Vista. For starters confirm the programs and updates applet inside the Vista user interface, examine the show updates box and appearance for SP1 inside list. If it s there, uninstall it.
Hmm. u guys examined the poweriso thing?. perhaps it conditions vista. but it really has some issues now i assume like windows explorer restarting wen u attempt to mount file. has anybody else tried this poweriso thing?
Plasmafox wrong. It is separable you only need to make certain you don t choose to setup it, 8and don t allow it set your own home page and don t permit the toolbar.
Bill Condie fan of Daemon Tools? Have you updated your SPTD recently? It works personally in my Vista install Vista Home Premium 32 bit, Vista Ultimate 32 bit, Vista Ultimate 64 bit by using do you need to uninstall SP1 or uninstall DT, which is the question I have to know by you
I don t have DT, but another thing must happen to be going on.
I just did a clean update to Ultimate and it also s working being a charm again.
I have installed DT and is also working fine. I do generally dont hit next button during installation but I forgot what I did over the installation of DT. How do I determine if the spyware is installed? Please suggest me if you find any.
Virtual CloneDrive keeps saying installation failed on my small machine, im running windows vista however, not 64 bit
oh plus the new daemon tools hasnt installed spyware on my small system, we've scanned my computer with 3 anti spyware and malware programs also it found nothing
I use Phantom CD to mount ISO. It works well in Vista 32-bit. I don t determine if it works in 64-bit Vista.
Sure, it can be possible to operate the Virtual CD-ROM Control Panel in Windows Vista. The issue is that you always have to operate as Administrator and you are able to only start to see the mounted drive underneath the Administrator context, which suggests via a Run as Administrator command promptbut not inside your user s Windows Explorer context. As a result of the, not only does the tool not be I need it to function, nonetheless it also requires me running the app in a very less secure environment. by Greg Steen
Much like USRF s experience, I have Vista 32-bit and Virtual CloneDrive, and I run my comp non-stop, but whenever I come to it overnight or back from work, there s an excellent BSOD waiting to me saying the problem was in, and interestingly, it is also comboed that has a DRIVERIRQLNOTLESSOREQUAL code. Its still not too big of the issue to me as this works a lot better than others I ve found for Vista. Hope this assists someone.
Just wait i'm making Nero image drive working under vista. just wait some days we are working into it .
I recently purchased a different computer running windows vista 32 bit. The first thing I planned to test on vista was alcohol 120%. I finished installation and suddenly. Blue Screen Of Death. My new computer was stuffed. I tried everything to fix the issue but deemed it too difficult with only 20 secs within the desktop ahead of the BSOD appeared again. I ended up the need to wipe the computersystem recovery you need to over.
Hi SNIPER77 i am aware u r problem. open system properties with right click on my small computer icon. then open advance system setting. inside it open startup recovery setting. now just uncheck following clicks,
Now just open start, all programs, acceseries, command prompt. with administrative rights just right click it select run as administrator now paste following command
now press enter. now just restart pc. u did it but just remember to figure out thanks when i needed it much
Just installed Virtual Clone Drive on 4 fresh e-machines runnings Vista. Works great.
great tutorial, couldnt did it without your help,
i just installed in this little windows vista basic. it asked 4 reboot we obliged. these days system cant boot i tries every option within my boot option safe mode, last known good configuration. but nothing helps. plz help and quickly tooo
Boot with vista dvd then select repair then choose system restore. then pick a restore point before installing of poweriso
Daemon Tools would be the only 100% complete virtual optical drive software. Yes the freeware version bundles some software you can chose not to set up. Just uncheck the correct checkboxes.
If you prefer to support Daemon Tools the proper way you'll be able to purchase Daemon Tools PRO which isn't going to come with any spyware or ads.
I think you ought to update this informative article to reflect this. I m not just a representative from Daemon Tools. I just would like to help out by informing people about better software. I too would have been a bit vary when I saw the bundled software but a majority of successful software today incorporates extra software simply because get paid top dollar to accomplish so.
I dislike any software that attempts to make some spyware nonsense on me.
I also find VirtualCloneDrive for being nice and easy make use of, and cost-free. I ve also used MagicDisc for 64-bit, which isn t as friendly but works alright.
Your article might be updated Virtual Clone drive has supported Vista 64 since August.
The newest version of Virtual CloneDrive has added support for Vista 64 bits.
Virtual CloneDrive 5.4.0.6: 2008 07 31
New: Added support for 64-bit OS, Windows Vista 64
Many internal changes and improvements, new driver
Thanks with the, updated the post.
Thanks for that post along with the update.
Tested version Virtual CloneDrive 5.4.0.6 in this little notebook running Vista Home Premium 64 today, and it also worked without need of any reboot.
Thanks for mentioning this brilliant little bit of software. Free, simple, and well-maintained. Awesome!
i employ a few images and so they all mount just a few of them still say they might need a cd as you move the others work fine. the dont work with clone drive in any way. im currently using daemon tools. any solutions for any noob?
I can confirm the Microsoft freeware utility to mount ISO images /kb/916902 does indeed use Vista Business SP1.
Virtual CloneDrive worked beautiful on Vista Home Basic to me. Installed in a very matter of minutes. Mounted my installation disk no probs, and enabled me to put in all my disk images from my external hard disk in seconds!
Much faster than messing around with CDs/DVDs!
I find it style of dumb how they include spyware into their program. I mean it s not simply a wrong and invasive move, but it really s rude, and so on top of that, arguably the lowest amount of efficient approach to go about things; I mean, spyware is known as malicious so will probably fend off a majority of downloaders.
You think Daemon can certainly themselves your spyware stunt?
Now that I am running Windows 7 more predominantly than Vista, I have to declare that VCD does the task it won't have some in the more savvy options like emulation for games so I don t have to utilize the original CD
Excellent suggestion. VCD works the same manner stated. Real breeze. Great mounting option for your inexperienced also. Thanks for that recommendation.
Since it hasn t been mentioned yet, WinCDEmu is really a great little bit of software for mounting CD/DVD images and works in XP and Vista.
Today may be the last day to have VCD totally free.
That message in red applies for their paid software.
So i files on my small harddrive that i wish to play however with VCD i just have audio when tinkered with WMP am i doing something wrong?
does this help windows ultimate 7? cant appear to get it to operate for me atleast
Haven t read the many comments so I can t say if this continues to be covered but, it works together with Vista 64-bit. v5.4.1.1
Does this work together with SecureROM? I use a few games which may have SecureROM to them curse you EA for selecting out BioWare! and I ve heard some pretty bad reasons for having SecureROM and ISO mounters. I cant hold off until they understand that it s rubbish and find a whole new DRM:P
Has anybody used Deamon Tools with Windows 7 together it work. I have tried 4 different versions now and possess yet to become able for getting it to be effective. It just wants me to reboot time and time again. getting no where fast.
Joe Currently, the SPTD driver is not that will work with Windows 7, hence DT won't work on W7.
As for other people who says that other products work yes, they certainly, and I am currently using VCD nonetheless they don t contain the emulation for example SecureROM so I can make ISOs of y games and play them without having to get yourself a stupid crack or no CDDVD fix to the game.
I have dual 500 GB 32MB Cache HDs and so they are infinitely well, nearly faster than the usual DVD drive, and DT allows me to experience games like Mass Effect, GTR Evolution, and The Witcher Enhanced edition without having to utilize anything else. VCD and many types of these other products simply don t support that sort of emulation.
Finally, the DT free version does come bundled with questionable software but that is certainly easily disabled from installing.
loved this great article, great program, thanks! was very successful on vista 64-bit
John Galt Thanks, I had not read that article. VCD worked well for mounting the ISO s. It just isn't quite the same in principle as DT nevertheless it will do.
I am currently running Win 7 x64 in this little Rampage II mother board while using Core i7 processor running since the 2.9 Ghz overclocked and 6 Gig of triple channel ram 1600 mhz. Video card will be the MSI 4870 1G of DDR5 ram. Things like Grid will run at their maximum even with just the main one 1TB SATA 2 HHD.
Does any know when Dt is projecting which has a fix just for this. Or is this problems for MS to repair in 7.
I d been very satisfied with VirtualCloneDrive for any long time, but I m running the Windows 7 x64 Beta. Ultimiate. And VCD froze things.
So, I just opened the iso files using another computer that s networked to this blog, and remained silent. Then, looking from the comments here, I decided to utilise MagicISO. Wow. What a cool program. It installed without having problem, and I ve opened and accessed an ISO file as being a disk drive. I ll try something more complicated later, but I won t post again unless I run into a challenge.
Thanks for your advice. It would be a nice surprise to determine something that actually was ready for Windows 7.
Joe as for just a W7 version, ths issue that I see may be the compatibility with the SPTD driver for Windows knowning that comes from DuplexSecure. AFAICT, the DT app as is must have no issues using the services of W7 mainly because it works perfectly fine with Vista, perhaps the 64bit version as I ran it on Vista 64bit for months.
cwg I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit in my system, and possess had absolutely no difficulty with VCD in builds 6801, 7000, and 7048. A great deal of people are saying they've already encountered problems but up to now I have not experienced a single one therefore it might be system specificOEM specific issues. I am guessing rogues, as OEMs usually include stupid things such as Roxio as well as its DirectCD component which is just not pretty at all over a Vista class machine or better.
well I want an authorised alternative sourcesite which often can tell Daemon Tools has spyware. I can t feel that, that you are the first you to definitely say it's spyware.
I really don t think the challenge is with VCD or Deamon Tools. It is always underlieing issue. Nomatter the version, it's still Windows.
Vista 32 here, i attempted Virtual clone, i could daemon and another too but i obtain the same problem. The drive gets created even so the Virtual clone graphic is not around the drive letter. And with each one of these programs same task. When i mount my iso it opens up files and wont start a true mount
I have used it and it truly does work flawlessly. thanks for posting it.
Hi.I downloaded Windows XP PRO SP3 VistaVG blackblue ultimate StyleSATA-Raid,it can be in the format of DAA it stated that to mount or burn in iso as well, using this type of file, a software came along with all the above file, that will mount or burn yhe file.i deleted it and simply had the DAA file, Windows XP pro file is OS.i would like it in bootable or execuitable please assist me to how to convert it into bootable cd, so should install the OS in on the for my english.
Hi BhanuPrakash. To burn daa file u need gburner.
Mac, did you are trying several different iso files and also have this result with these people? It seems if you ask me the most likely reason you have access to a have to format error could be that the look you mounted has not been good. Try an iso image that you just downloaded, as opposed to one you created on your own machine, too. Just in case. Also, when you haven t rebooted already, do this.
Windows plus some third-party software likes to maintain ISO files regarding archiving utility software, so that you are able to browse files, or cd burning software, so that you'll be able to burn an image to your cd/dvd. If you desire to mount an ISO to Virtual Clone Drive you may ought to find the iso file in Windows Explorer and RIGHT-CLICK onto it. There should be a solution to Mount with Virtual Clone Drive or something that is similar. Pick that option, and you ought to have the whole picture mounted for the appropriate letter.
Also, if you must burn the style to CD/DVD, along with your machine doesn t often have software to the, try InfraRecorder, a receptive source free program to try and do just that.
I downloaded Virtual Clone Drive, but it really s bust. I ve spent earlier times three hours looking to figure out how to acquire Sims 2 Life Stories to function, and that is where I m at.
Every time I make an effort to mount an iso file it gives me the autorun window for just a split second, it disappears. Trying to receive the Killing to figure, plus it s irritating - -. Any thoughts?
Thanx 4 tha Tips!!!:D I hope it conditions W7 ;D
so i've spent the previous few hours trying to set up Civ4 on my own vista 32 bit by mounting the iso file with virtual clone drive and alcohol 120% nevertheless it still asks for that cd and wont run! any ideas?
DaemonTools v4 does not have any spyware, and it is much greater than this.
This is basically cool. All the other ones I ve tried either caused viruses or messed in the boot files. Does it assist 32 bit Vista too?
DAEMON Tools is a useful one, and I would rather that it was free and something had to take notice during installation than any particular one had to pay money for this. It can be argued that many of those programs exhibit rootkit like behaviour, as to be able to do the project they do, especially with games, they've to a point hide themselves in the OS.
Guys i employ a huge problem.I recently installed Vista black editionSP!-32 of my games requires only daemon for playing, but as i install daemon, vista just restarts without giving any error. same happens after i install alcohol alcohol too.I m currently using Power ISO, but that game would only work together with daemon and so i require to be installed help !!!
My Laptop is triple Boot seperate primary partitions. Running Xp Pro SP3 32 Bit Retail, Vista Ultimate SP2 32 Bit Retail Vista Ultimate SP2 64 Bit Retail.
Was running Win 7 RC Build 7100 inside the Ultimate 64 Bit slot but dumped it personal gripes Classic style menus Win 3.11 Control Panel with miniature or microscopic icons etc.
Alcohol 120 runs fine on all.
Ultra ISO runs fine on all supports pretty much every image type imaginable virtual drives.
Daemon Tools runs fine on all. I dumped it for reasons of private dislike nevertheless it ran OK.
Vista 64 Bit Rocks. Just about everything runs onto it 32 Bit or 64 Bit software. I use a complete suite of some 95 various programs running on XP is actually only 2 exceptions, all have gone on Vista 64. It has the nice thing about Vista harnesses every one of the hardware you may chuck at it it is possible to actually use all of the RAM it is possible to afford. The difference between 3GB 4GB is immediately noticable when booting Vista 32 or Vista 64 using the same software setup.
Alcohol and Daemon Tools use rootkit techniques, which will not be really acceptable practice and will not be really well enough advertised do many people here recommending them know they are rootkits?. Also, if that you are a software developer, DT will break your debugging tools.
Not positive that other tools mentioned here have this issue, but other tools do not appear to emphasise tricking game manufacturers copy protection mechanisms, so hopefully not.
Amazing! Clone virtualdrive works perfect in my Windows 7 deskstop computer and i indicate all uses to go for doing this since its a freeware and not really that buggy Power ISO or daemon tools
A must for many windows 7 users!
Loaded the Windows 7 RTM from Tech net. Installed VCD but saw there was clearly no destination to shut it down, no right click to exit within the icon.
Laptop won't shutdown by itself either. Had to re-install Win7.
i dont get an alternative for mounting as i right select the drive, did i not set it up correctly as well?
There isn't a way it is possible to files with clone, therefore either you ll have to convert all files to iso or you may switch to magic disc or alcohol.
alcohol is a great one one but since it says, it installs a spyware, I would perform sniffer test onto it to know whether its true or otherwise not.
till now really the only best piece would be the alcohol, just anticipating 120% release for windows 7
I used Daemon Tools in my laptop when I had Vista Business and as being a result my abilities to get the laptop to hibernate and sleep went resuming from hibernate gave a BSOD and resuming from sleep gave simply a black screen. I knew DT caused these faults as I updated all drivers and BIOS in a attempt to repair it. I even emailed the MS tech support and gave them an nfo file of my system and in addition they concluded that DT was the issue anyway, long story short, reinstalled Vista for a few reason I forget why and other software minus DT and hibernate and sleep worked perfectly.
I possess a friend who also had similar difficulty with hibernate and sleep and not sure if it was caused by DT once we had differnet but similar software and hardware.
Now I ve got Windows 7 Professional RTM installed and CloneDrive after looking at this blog post and yes it works perfectly.
Recommend CloneDrive 100%.
I ve been looking for weeks to get a discussion about like this.
See I got a brand new computer finally and contains Vista 64 Home. I had Alcohol and Daemon before. Obviously I use games that tend for being ISO files and stuff like that. Well out of those games about 5% will install now. I always must go into safe mode to fit get Daemon to or Alcohol to work! And even the idea usually will not do. If I understand to setup the games always contain the same error that blame windows installer. I upgraded to service pack 2 which cames with Windows Installer 4.5 yet I still get these errors which shows theres something something a great deal more sneaky happening!
Any applying for grants what to work with then? I find about MagicISO, VCD and Magic Disk. Will those actually work or do I get some lame anti-piracy crap in this little computer now from one of the programs like Alcohol?
Macrium Reflect is often a great utility for creating entire disk images for Vista and 7 x64. The compression might be set on your liking as well as the program features a self extracting tool so you are able to restore all or part of one's body. Anyone tried this? I use it a much faster back-up utility than every other freeware I have seen until now including magic disc/iso. Haven t tried vcd, macrium works fine to me.
Installed and didnt go to whichever spyware. worked well for my ISO thanks.
1 For windows 7, defaults to, works once the iso is with a shared drive.
This is the thing that Windows should have inbuilt years ago.
yeah well im new for this mounting thing i just downloaded a iso for a different game i planned to play and i also mounted it nevertheless it aint letting me open it help please?
Nice article. I got sick and tired with using Alcohol 120 in XP, even though it's a great program. This isn t functionality anyone must have to pay money for these days though in linux you'll be able to copy a cd/dvd with dd if/dev/cdrom and mount it together with the mount command! I think the only real way Windows can continue to keep up inside future is to start out adding many value. In earlier times the OS may be so simplistic that you've to spend more money just to receive the basics. Those days have ended obviously now with all the cloud, google s free SAAS, and all of the FOSS apps.
Whoever said Vista x64 is good for advanced users will not know what he s dealing with. x64 is worth it if you could have tons of ram, and your body is fast. Otherwise, x86 standard is perfectly fine actually faster since there s no layer of emulation.
I downloaded the ISO of Pirates, and should not seem to receive the virutal clone to start and mount the ISO. Is there another program that could mount downloaded ISOs? or do I require disk for just about any mounting program I use?
Thank you with the worked perfectly for mounting an iso image in win 7.
Running windows 7 ultimate x64, vcd works fine.
It works fantastically on my own 32bit windows 7 home premium. Thanks a lot guys:
Man I been wracking my brain attempting to figure out which one of the works and reading forums blah blah. I have windows 7 x64 home premium. Installed the win 7 version of magicdisc plus it installed ok together would think then I could begin to see the virtual cd drive however, if I clicked the shortcut to reach the app and mount it i kept receiving the file path not accessible need admin privilages bs. Of course thats bs becuase I did have rights. Anyways loaded /download/pismotech audit and it is a LIGHT app and small install. No resources burned up no frills. but great for iso s CONFIRMED it creates win 7 64 HP version
Nobody mentioned this, out of your tender to offer another alternative. I came across these tool and happen to be using it from the time that for disk mounting. Should work towards Vista and above and also on 64-bit too plus it s also FREE w/o spyware, and open source. I ve installed it on my own Vista PC don t recall if I ve used becoming I don t work to be able PC often.
Should really check against eachother. Simple to use at the same time.
Thanks for that post. Nice and light, worked being a charm on 7 x64. Didn t have even to reboot!
Microsoft Virtual CD-ROM Control Panel v2.0.1.1 creates Windows 7 just run as administrator
