03/20/2015 I removed my old Windows 7 and replaced it having a clean install in this WIndows 8.1. I could cease more happier. With a matching 120GB SSD harddrive for it, boot up and shutdown are below 10 seconds. I configured it to check like Windows 7 since I love the existing interface. And it worked. It has everything I need for home desktop PC. I will 't be upgrading to Windows 10 soon as I dont use whatever major benefit into it for my application.

02/12/2015 Ive experienced a pretty good experience to this point. I installed worked good ect. I decided I didnt like OK so I head to resale the product. Turns out the fine print around the disk says this copy is made for distribution using a new Yada Yada so this is usually a policy violation for the majority of resale sites like ebay ect. I like the best way buy includes a generic picture with the product. IF I would've known that it basically were built with a no resale restriction I would n't have bought it.

The interface is quite great, althoughIt is usually a bit intimidating in the beginning. The start screen is truly a pretty useful adaptation from the familiar start menu. Once you unpin the programs you dont use and have it organized, youll love the beginning screen right away. 05/25/2014 It installed fast and gave the look of a good OS in the beginning, but later on it might crash and I would must reboot. I installed every one of the updates however it keeps happening. Sometimes when I boot up my PC the screen will only be the color purple and yes it stays prefer that until I press an integral. Whatever key I press it simply turns the screen to blue. If I press any key that goes back to purple. This doesnt disappear and I must reboot again. Another downside would be the whole new redesigned interface. As you probably already know, it isn't very popular, and rightly so. Everybody was used on the past Windows that had been all generally alike. This new design is hard to get acquainted with and to start with YOU CANT FIND ANYTHING YOU WANT. It took me like a half-hour to find control panel along with other things. Overall, it is not worth it for the retail price. I would definitely get Windows 7 Premium over Windows 8.
