Product has serious, annoying bugs
Presumably, it protects my computer from real viral threats. Unfortunately, furthermore, it protects my computer from imaginary ones at the same time. See Cons.
This is perfect for Vipre Internet Security 2015 Lifetime. Beyond question, this is actually the most obnoxious and intrusive anti-virus/internet security software Ive ever used. I receive constant, annoying messages to share with me that Vipre has protected me from your Trojan virus. I get about 30 or 40 of those balloon messages every day whether Im online or off, makes no difference. Vipre support has brought me scan my entire computer, using VipreRescue. When that didnt help, they me remove Vipre from my computer and reinstall it. Still, common problem with one improvement, however. At least, Im not receiving the constant Vipre message that I ought to restart my computer to remove some phony infestation. Vipre is worse to me than any actual viruses Ive had through the years. Currently, I have Vipre turned OFF, as well as probably remain this way until I can look for a different anti-virus program to get another one.

Oh I also feel its crucial that you add that I once attemptedto upload a disc with files stored from a classic computer I had that's fraught with problems so when soon as I loaded the disc my computer locked up and yes it was just like I booted my old, broken comp high was Vipre to avoid the influx of bad code deliver the opportunity to shut it down eject the disc without the harm to my new computer.

trial - bought - was good until an important software update from viper! crashed my computer - ate ALL email and mail folders, was on phone for a long time, able to uncover into safe mode - no restore, totaly crashed my XP were required to have staples fix my computer for 186 bucks

I purchased Vipre in February 2013 installed it also it works great. It also uses less resources than my 2011 BitDefender and has now worked great. My two and half year-old Acer is running just great. I have had 1 problem further down in 8 months useful. It has never crashed nor frozen. I think it is a superb buy.
Once it blocked a what are named as known bad file called Toolbar which I found was associated with my remote desktop that I use with his software business and added it on the Always Allowed. I checked to make sure it wasnt new virus with your programmer. Since there is no adware/malware cleaner from it I recommend an adware/malware product to use with this particular. I use SuperAntiSpyware Free Edition. I have also purchased and used Malwarebytes but didnt such as hassle it started giving me with with locking my computer up.
I installed Vipre on my small Acer Aspire 7741 after using BitDefender 2011 for two years. BitDefender 2013 won't install in my Acer plus the techs at BitDefender tried all kinds of thing all to no avail. I have been on computers for more than 20 yrs from building them inside the late 80s to programming DOS and in addition helping run us municipal accounting software company so now I recommend it to the customers while others that ask. It caught several that Avast free version hadn't caught when I was making use of it until my Vipre was purchased.
