After agonizing over which software and equipment to purchase with the conversion of my 60 hours in family video, I gave Easy VHS to DVD 3 Plus a try. There were softwares both countless less expensive. I set up an ancient vcr to my Windows 7 laptop. Installation was simple, no glitches. When I opened this program and pressed use the vcr, it took with regards to a 5 second delay and so the recording appeared in the main screen area. It could not be much easier to use. Im saving the files to my pc for editing and in all likelihood will not duplicate to dvd. The editing software programs are also intuitive-just some simple cuts/edits and zip fancier. I was skeptical this would work well after looking at reviews of earlier versions, but this supplement is easy to work with and is effective.I am in technique of converting some twenty-five year plus old home videos into dvds, despite some with the tapes being deterioated it makes a fantastic quality dvd copy in the tape. I have even archived some old comercial tapes, they may not be available on dvd and I think this is a legitimate use in this its capturing the signal through the vcr after its decoded the macro vision is bypassed. I reccomend rhis product.

The product has some problems but works. If you might have a pause inside you VHS this system will finalize your DVD to soon. I have wasted several DVDs because of a pause within the old family shot VHS tapes I am copying. The program should permit you to decide when you should finalize at least give more hours than it does. The wire conection gets hot when transferring from VHS to DVD.

Dont buy the product. Its not the Easy VHS to DVD is bad it is the Roxio Corel customer service. I have a couple of these darn things. The first on worked, by incorporating minor skipping, until I formatted my disk drive. I had lost my driver disk and may not receive the driver downloaded from Roxio. After about half a year of trying to accomplish this and getting NO the help of Roxio I finally eliminate and forked out another 75 with the newest version. The old one skips sometimes so I thought the upgrade can be worth it. I could n't have been more incorrect! The an alternative one doesnt work. It works to get a minute or two then this screen turns blue. I still find the audio, nevertheless the picture fades. The good news is the old one works together with the new drivers. But I had paid 75 for your newer product I wanted to have my money from the jawhorse. I contacted Roxio and in the get go I have been because of the run around. Every couple of times of attempting to get these to replace or repair my device they'd email me telling that since I hadn't contacted them these people were closing my case. Received Roxio Easy VHS to DVD3 Plus on 10/08/12. downloaded software quickly and easily but my desktop wouldn't normally recognized the recording capture device. I also loaded on my laptop and same issue. You can only get tech support with email, after 48 hrs got a reply and was instructed if patch cable were connected right. Come on red plug to red plug, white to white and yellow to yellow? after waiting each day I was expected to check my system device manager were I found the playback quality device hasn't been recognized. Next day along with a half solution delete Roxio device from device manger and download a web-based driver. How can I delete the Roxio driver whether or not this does not appear. anyway reloaded taxi driver and still doesn't work. I have written to guide that I have tried these fixes on two computers, Maybe the recording device is defective. finally after 11 days I get a email from support that maybe the device is just not working and I must narrow this as a result of verify. As today I am not capable to use this device, I can not realise why they just dont offer to exchange the playback quality device for any new one in lieu of waste their and time to see if defective. If I knew I could be jumping though hoops I may not buy this device. 11/01/2012 AS OF YET STILL NOT WORKING LAST WEEK LEVEL 2 SUPPORT WENT INTO ACTON AND ASKING ME THE SAME BACSIC QUESTIONS FROM WEEKS AGO. I have read some in the other reviews and chose to write this to increase the plus side. This could n't have been any simpler to use. My goal ended up being take some 20 year-old VHSC tapes and acquire them copied to my computer and copied before we were holding no longer readable. I was capable of copy my first VHSC within 10 minutes of installing software. I was able to work with the edit function on SHORT videos. Caution If you say proceed soon after you finished copying tape, uphold it will take almost as long permit the editing process finish. That is OK if you ought to edit them. Most of my were just copy those to the computer. I found once you have completed the coping will not edit or preceded to next thing, simply start new project. The tape you only recorded is from the Captured Videos Folder. If you decide to proceed then you're giving methods of tablet computer etc. Standby its a good process from then on. I just wanted them captured in this little computer in the Windows Media Player file. So I just exit and started a fresh project as well as the file was there without that extra step. Took a few minutes from received it out in the box and loading the software program to starting the first video conversion and yes it was much fun for being seeing our old home videos again. Even dug out our old wedding video to convert which hasnt seen the sunshine of day in donkeys years so which was a trip down memory lane for many people all!
Couldnt happen to be easier. Installed onto my Windows 8 laptop, no problem in any respect and very easy to hook up. Ive only ever done it with my VHS tapes as much as Ive got other hardware to capture gameplay from my consoles but I expect this is a nice, cheaper solution to some on the more expensive capture cards available at the moment, if thats what youre considering this for.
