There were softwares both many less expensive. I connected an ancient vcr to my Windows 7 laptop. Installation was simple, no glitches. When I opened this software and pressed use on the vcr, it took in regards to 5 second delay so the recording appeared in the main screen area. It could not be simpler to use. Im saving the files to my pc for editing and in all likelihood will not duplicate to dvd. The editing software programs are also intuitive-just some simple cuts/edits and zip fancier. I was skeptical this would work well looking at reviews of earlier versions, but the product is easy to utilize and very effective.I am in procedure for converting some 25-year plus old home videos into dvds, despite some from the tapes being deterioated it makes a fantastic quality dvd copy from the tape. I have even archived some old comercial tapes, they aren't available on dvd and I think this is a legitimate use with this its capturing the signal from your vcr after its decoded the macro vision is bypassed. I reccomend rhis product.

The product has some problems but works. If you might have a pause in your soul VHS this method will finalize your DVD to soon. I have wasted several DVDs as a result of pause from the old family shot VHS tapes I am copying. The program should enable you to decide when you finalize or at best give additional time than it does. The wire conection gets hot when transferring from VHS to DVD.

Dont buy this supplement. Its not how the Easy VHS to DVD is the fact bad it is the Roxio Corel customer satisfaction. I have a pair of these darn things. The first on worked, with a few minor skipping, until I formatted my hard disk. I had lost my driver disk and may even not find the driver downloaded from Roxio. After about 6 months of trying to make this happen and getting NO assistance from Roxio I finally stopped working and spent another 75 to the newest version. The old one skips sometimes so I thought the upgrade could well be worth it. I could not need been more mistaken! The brand new one doesnt work. It works for just a minute or two then a screen turns blue. I still receive the audio, even so the picture quickly scans the blogosphere. The good news is which the old one works while using new drivers. But I had paid 75 with the newer product I wanted to acquire my money from it. I contacted Roxio and in the get go I have been because of the run around. Every couple of times when trying to get the crooks to replace or repair my device they can email me telling that since I we had not contacted them we were holding closing my case. I sent them pictures of screenshots and tried a lot of things that I was told to complete. Nothing worked. I agreed to mail it for them so they could check it - inside my expense- and was told no. Received Roxio Easy VHS to DVD3 Plus on 10/08/12. downloaded software easily but my desktop won't recognized the recording capture device. I also loaded to my laptop and same issue. You can only get tech support with email, after 2 days got a result and was instructed if patch cable were connected right. Come on red plug to red plug, white to white and yellow to yellow? after waiting daily I was made to check my system device manager were I found it device wasn't recognized. Next day along with a half respond to delete Roxio device from device manger and download an internet driver. How can I delete the Roxio driver whether it does not arrive. anyway reloaded motorist and still will not work. I have written to compliment that I have tried these fixes on two computers, Maybe it device is defective. finally after 11 days I get a email from support that maybe the device is just not working and I should narrow this into verify. As today I am not in a position to use this system, I can not discover why they just dont offer to exchange it device for just a new one as opposed to waste their and my own time to see if defective. If I knew I could be jumping though hoops I won't buy this supplement. 11/01/2012 AS OF YET STILL NOT WORKING LAST WEEK LEVEL 2 SUPPORT WENT INTO ACTON AND ASKING ME THE SAME BACSIC QUESTIONS FROM WEEKS AGO. I have read some on the other reviews and made a decision to write this to raise the plus side. This could not need been any quicker to use. My goal ended up being take some 20 year-old VHSC tapes and have them copied to my computer and copied before these people were no longer readable. I was competent to copy my first VHSC within 10 mins of installing software. I was able to make use of the edit function on SHORT videos.
