I Had textpad for many years, I then got a whole new computer and tried Ultraedit. What a mistake that it was operable cheaper than 2 months in the event it nagged me for the product update. The update rendered my software inoperable with no additional purchase. Pure Crap. I switched back in textpad with zero nags with no problems.
