I downloaded, set it up, together with the serial that may be on the site, i entered the code and yes it says the code is expired, cluck to have a new one. i bought a another one. along with the serial will not be good, please reinstal.
Looks just like AutoCAD to begin with. The price meets your needs. The online costs are 149, but I just purchased from Staples today for 89. Seems to be acceptable for constructing drawings over completely from scratch. Be sure that you're running v12.2. If you've 12.0 or 12.1, update it through the companys website.
It DOES NOT open or import/extract data from AutoCAD 2007 DWGs. It also wouldn't normally open or extract information from AutoCAD 2007 DWGs which are translated to 2004, 2000, or R14 by Autodesks DWG TrueConvert. This was should be a way to view and do minor edits to DWG files when my normal CAD operator was busy or not able to be reached. I have emailed TurboCAD support and definately will update my review if they're able to assist me to. Until then, I cannot recommend this method if you intend to work with it alongside AutoCAD.
Oh, and yes it seems to load and chance a little slow using a 2.4 GHz P4, XP Pro, w/704 MB RAM.
