Aside on the fact that it functions, it offers everything a simulation needs to have. All my life, Ive wanted a model railroad. I never had the surrounding or money it will take to build the one which would satisfy me. I think of any parallel. What Lightroom does for the darkroom, this will to railroad modeling. Highly recommended.
This is a superb simulation-though the graphics can be better than the instructions. It costs relatively little to download and it is quite entertaining. A latest version will appear in the end on the year.
Purchased as Christmas present for 11-year-old grandson. He has played about this game all the time ever since. He really likes the maglev train option and elcm Kings Cross Express. The best part of Trainz Simulator could be the ability not just to build a whole line, but to control a train within the line under many differing conditions. This game receives a solid high rating coming from a very happy customer!
Downloading took forever, and also at the end with the download process, the software program wouldnt install. Total waste of serious amounts of money.
Download was long, over 48 hrs. When finished, this program performed well.

First and last game for just a Mac. Gameplay and graphics are terrible. I will go to a windows computer simply to play any games.

Rather boring Sim, not really worth the money spent, upgrades are annoying to download. Must be better sims out there available on the market. The only good part was the downloading, simple and fast.

Im a MAC at work- a PC for the only difference will be the damn VIRUSES and SPYWARE that infect my PC. Macs have none yet.
Under WINE runs my Ubuntu 8.04 fine with TS2009 Beta.
For my Ubuntu I need and then write inside WINE-Registry search within the Winehq-Homepage for Trainz.
And I must install the Ubuntu restrited extras Package. Then I develop the MS-Core-Fonts too.

Of course Macs lack viruses. Noone is usually to stupid to generate JK. My school has Macs, but I hate them. Im a PC but still using Microsoft XP Pro.

Im a mac guy here too and running XP through bootcamp. I think Auran might well be loosing from a pretty large potential. I upgraded to some mac book pro to own games like Trainz. I first would prefer to see a mac version and think mac users would jump across it.

Im running it 2009 under XP in this little MacBook using BootCamp and yes it runs well. I started on UTC running it under Parallels, but performance was TERRIBLE. Native Mac version? Nope. As long while you have an Intel Mac, Boot Camp works well.

Previous versions of Railz operate in an emulator a little slow and by incorporating quircks, but I could take part in the game, but new versions may give problems. I did run Trainz 2006 fine using Parallels, but has less luck with Trainz 2009 on either Parallels or CrossOver. The breakdown of Auran product at Codeweaver provides same information.

Looks like theyre working away at a version of Trainz for iPad Android. This may be a precursor to your Mac version heres hoping, anyway!
Also, it isn't really everything stable, but Wine allows me to operate Trainz within OS X, but you will need a bit rather lots of tweaking and command line dancing.
I left the Trainz world when I joined the Mac around the world 5 years ago. iPad announcement forced me to nostalgic due to this great software application. I would wish to see it readily available for OS X.
Id definitely obtain a Mac version. I run TS2010 on bootcamp-Windows Vista without any problems, but it is not an ideal solution and it's just not practical personally to invest in a dedicated Windows PC at the moment.
Please, no Mac version. A Mac version means I would spend all the more time messing with Trainz and grow even less productive.
Hopefully the now dominant Intel-based Mac makes development easier. my first question was from 2004, the 1st Intel Mac became accessible in 2006. I have high hopes that software like Cider from Transgaming is likely to make the port simple for Auran to generate it.
I was surprised at the iPad or Andrioid version; I can imagine that that development would me far more resource intensive to produce.

If they're able to run it within the iPad then there is no reason it cant operated with a Mac. Its mostly a similar development environment. Theres more work to do to operate the full version from the software with stuff like CMP, even so the basics should just about be already there.
