I cant say enough relating to this thing. Im no techie, i really cant let you know what it did or how, but I was literally wanting to junk my computer a five year-old Dell Vostro 17 by having an intel Core 2 Duo, shipped with Vista, now running Win7.
I downloaded system mechanic 11.5 completely from iolo 25 as being a last ditch effort to put off getting a new pc. I can honestly claim that it is running wonderful. I cant even believe it will be the same PC. If you have a very PC that u are prepared to junk, this can be worth an attempt.

I utilized to love the product and always recommended it along with other. But Iolo has become an exceptionally deceptive company and product has seriously degraded.
The most upsetting recent addition is Iolos silent improvement in product licensing. YOU CAN NO LONGER USE THE PRODUCT AFTER 1 YEAR. Really, after you buy it, youll notice a box in SM that says to you how many more days when you have to repurchase a license. Really Iolo, youre carrying this out to your customer. Thats to bad this time.
Now on my experience bear in mind, Im and IT support guy:
Ive spent over 8 hours wanting to fix what SM did to my system. Im not saying it produced dangerous damage, nevertheless its definitely not very friendly to Windows 7.
Ive spent a couple of hours within the phone with Iolos support plus they have me editing my Registry as well as other really nasty stuff an average person should not be doing.
After all of this, Ive learned there may be stuff that Iolo is doing in private that is crashing my computer along with the only way around this would be to completely remove System Mechanic.
Cmon Iolo, I just wanna run this thing once in awhile to clean up up my system. Youve totally over complicated it and turned a fantastic product right into a nasty one.
Finally, its really tough to find, but automagically, Iolo is sending info on your computer to themselves. Its on automatically and very hard to find out the way to turn it off.
So, my recommendation is look elsewhere. This once was a great company and great product but theyve really turned pretty evil plus the product has degraded.

I purchased quite sure for one of our own laptops which was acting a little sluggish. I decided to setup the software in my business desk top computer since I had purchased the license software program of System Mechanic. The software installed fine and I ran the analysis of my computer because it suggested. It developed 3 problems and 1 warning. It talked about if I wanted it to mend them, I said yes. MISTAKE! It fixed the very first problem that has been getting rid of clutter. It fixed the other problem that was making a back-up of my registry. For the third problem, it indicated it would must reboot my system then it didI had no input. It looked like it turned out rebooting however a black dos looking screen came out that said through the top-CAUTION! CAUTION! CAUTION! If you use a 64-bit system it will irreparably damage your hard-drive. If you have a very 64-bit system otherwise you dont know, type N below, take off the disk and reboot the body. I followed these directions and upon reboot another screen came out that said it had been compressing software, etc. After this screen disappeared, it acted just as if windows would start but nothing emerged but a black screen and my cursor. It will not even boot up most of the safe modes.
Called customer service that immediately and reached a try center in India. I explained the situation on the gentlemen within the phone and the man indicated that there is some type of conflict with my computer and also the software and this also caused the condition. He indicated that for the additional 200 dollars he or she be able to resolve the issue. As it is possible to only imagine when he was quoted saying that I immediately saw merely red. Reading a number of the reviews I was not wanting to purchase. I did finally buy it when it had been bundled with network magic from liksys
Network magic is so-so.I have installed it on 2 laptops the other PC 1 old but beloved acer single core 2 gb, one new dual core Toshiba laptop, the other HP dual core hard working much abused by multiple teens and a pair of parent deskstop. The install was fast and also the navigation is intuitive. Im not a geek or expert but Ive been futzing with computers considering that the dinosaurs roamed planet earth and Dos command codes must be memorized. The menus produce a sense of control and security I havent informed about a computer in a very long time. All 3 of my occupation improved their performance dramatically although Im skeptical about this being the advertised 300% improvement. While running the drive defragmenter it estimated 30-40 minutes to defrag a 750 GB harddrive but took 2.5 hours-not so bad really as I usually put this on registry scanner and optimizer worked fast and efficiently. It incorporates a 1 click make it better all option for the complete computer fix that avoids which should I really be checking these boxes when Im undecided what theyll do kinda feeling. I couldnt be happier with all the products performance across my 3 platforms. Im buying another license to pay for my 2 college age sons it will help reduce the every 1-1 1/2 year cry for any new laptop from their store. It sounds like performance can differ but isnt this always true with cmputers. I think with this system that this entire computer fad might just have a future.

Take this as being a WARNING!. This software has become plagued with bugs causing shutdown errors and disabling Wanted startup processes. If that will not be bad enough, Customer support is Non existant. After 5 problem reports, Iolo doesnt even bother to retort.
How the product ever got Editors Coice Awards is suspect.

Installed, set up serial number, travels to upgrade software and connects and disconnects. Never got any more. Tech support was no help.
