I am not new at all to computers. I am accustomed to fixing many different types of software problems in Windows. This is not an uncomplicated product to put in on a Windows XP system, especially after it offers been upgraded to SP2. If you are hoping to simply install the product, reboot your pc, and begin faxing, you can be sorely disappointed. Despite warnings in most other reviews, I purchased v10.03 in order to use on my Windows XP system with SP2. While I surely could eventually get it installed and running, it slowed my computers reboot the perfect time to a crawl and trashed my scanner software. It took time to get anything else working again.
First off, it's not necassary to try to put in anything under version 10.03 upon an XP system. Symantec warns you concerning this on their internet site. If you require purchasing WinFax Pro - which I tend not to recommend - be sure you buy version 10.03.
Secondly, WinFax Pro conflicts together with the built-in Windows Fax put in Win XP. Berkat artikel tersebut, saya banyak mendapat teman dari berbagai penjuru Indonesia, padahal itu hanya karena artikel yang tadinya saya anggap terlalu newbie untuk Jangan anggap enteng pengaruh suatu artikel. Saya seringkali mendapat kemudahan jika keluar daerah misalnya makan gratis dan bertemu dengan orang-orang yang pernah membaca artikel saya.
Saya posting ulang artikel mengenai WinFax sebagai preliminary karena saya sedang membuat panduan untuk melakukan Fax melalui Komputer menggunakan Hylafax. Jika WinFax berjalan pada komputer berbasis Windows, Hylafax berjalan pada sistem operasi Linux. Hal ini tentu bisa menjawab kebutuhan rekan-rekan yang sedang melakukan migrasi sistem dari Windows ke Linux.
Mengapa menggunakan software Fax untuk melakukan Fax melalui komputer? Apa saja keuntungannya dibandingkan menggunakan mesin fax konvensional?
1. Kita bisa secara leluasa melakukan fax langsung dari komputer tanpa perlu menggunakan mesin fax yang relatif mahal.
2. Kita dapat melakukan Fax secara simultan. Kita dapat mengumpulkan dokumen yang akan difax dan kemudian melakukan fax secara sekaligus diwaktu mendapat diskon penggunaan telepon, misalnya dimalam hari. Aplikasi fax berbasis komputer biasanya dilengkapi fasilitas scheduling.
3. Kita tidak perlu melakukan Print-Out dokumen yang akan difax. Kita bisa melakukan print langsung ke software Fax dan software fax tersebut langsung mengirimkannya ke nomor fax yang dituju. Dengan fasilitas ini, kita dapat mengurangi biaya kertas dan mendukung program paperless. Dengan fasilitas ini juga kita dapat mendukung program Hutan Lestari. 4. Ada fasilitas reporting dan retry secara otomatis. Kita tidak perlu menunggui mesin fax semalam suntuk hanya untuk berulangkali melakukan fax ke kantor atau tujuan yang selalu sibuk. Jika gagal mengirim fax pada kesempatan pertama, software fax akan secara otomatis mengulanginya. Proses perulangan bisa diset, misalnya 3 kali, 5 kali atau n kali.
5. Software fax dapat diotomatiskan encapsulasi melalui kolaborasi dengan aplikasi lain, misalnya bahasa pemrogramman maupun melalui script. Mas, tolongin saya dong. Untuk fax melalui komp. di rumah saya pake Winfax dengan OS XP modem Rockwell K56flex, lancar. Tapi untuk di kantor, OS saya pake Vista home premium ORIGIN, program Winfax kok gak bisa diinstall ya. Punya program fax untuk Vista yang gratisan gak? kalo ada bagi2 dong.
O, ya. Di rumah saya juga pake speedy modem ADSL. Tapi kalao untuk ngefax terpaksa pake Rockwell. Bisa gak ngefax pake yang ADSL. Terima kasih.

Kemungkinan besar ada masalah di modem. Coba test modem melalui device manager. Test juga untuk koneksi ke internet Telkomnet Instant misalnya.
Pikir saya belum perlu install ulang WinFaxnya.

Ya, untuk menerima tidak perlu set apa-apa, asalkan si pengirim mencantumkan nomor fax disertai kode negara dan kode wilayah kita.
Kalau ada tanda X, biasanya ada gangguan saat menerima, jadi kalaupun bisa diterima biasanya tidak utuh.
Saya belum pernah melakukan edit hasil fax, jadi belum bisa menjawab pertanyaan ini. Anyway, saat ini saya tidak lagi menggunakan WinFax melainkan menggunakan Hylafax pada distro Linux OpenSUSE 10.3

salam kenal pak vavai. saya sudah mengikuti tutorial bapak untuk winfax 10.02. versi yang saya dapatkan adalah 10.04. setelah di pasang di PC standalone sudah bisa fax dengan baik. tetapi kalau dibuat sebagai host, maka client tidak bisa mencari PC host tersebut walau sudah dimasukkan IPnya. mohon pencerahan. saya baca memang 10.04 masalah kalau jadi host. apa musti ganti edisi? dimana bisa dapat download 10.02 atau 10.03? tx.

Salah satu artikel yang saya buat untuk sekedar menjadi catatan pribadi namun ternyata berguna bagi banyak orang adalah Instalasi dan konfigurasi WinFax untuk melakukan fax menggunakan komputer.
Artikel tersebut saya tulis pada bulan Desember 2004 dan sampai sekarang menjadi top hits download di blog saya. Artikel ini juga saya kirimkan ke IKC agar bisa lebih berguna bagi banyak pihak. Berkat artikel tersebut, saya banyak mendapat teman dari berbagai penjuru Indonesia, padahal itu hanya karena artikel yang tadinya saya anggap terlalu newbie untuk Jangan anggap enteng pengaruh suatu artikel. Saya seringkali mendapat kemudahan jika keluar daerah misalnya makan gratis dan bertemu dengan orang-orang yang pernah membaca artikel saya.
Saya posting ulang artikel mengenai WinFax sebagai preliminary karena saya sedang membuat panduan untuk melakukan Fax melalui Komputer menggunakan Hylafax. Jika WinFax berjalan pada komputer berbasis Windows, Hylafax berjalan pada sistem operasi Linux. Hal ini tentu bisa menjawab kebutuhan rekan-rekan yang sedang melakukan migrasi sistem dari Windows ke Linux.
Mengapa menggunakan software Fax untuk melakukan Fax melalui komputer? Apa saja keuntungannya dibandingkan menggunakan mesin fax konvensional?
1. Kita bisa secara leluasa melakukan fax langsung dari komputer tanpa perlu menggunakan mesin fax yang relatif mahal.
2. Kita dapat melakukan Fax secara simultan. Kita dapat mengumpulkan dokumen yang akan difax dan kemudian melakukan fax secara sekaligus diwaktu mendapat diskon penggunaan telepon, misalnya dimalam hari. Aplikasi fax berbasis komputer biasanya dilengkapi fasilitas scheduling.
3. Kita tidak perlu melakukan Print-Out dokumen yang akan difax. Kita bisa melakukan print langsung ke software Fax dan software fax tersebut langsung mengirimkannya ke nomor fax yang dituju. Dengan fasilitas ini, kita dapat mengurangi biaya kertas dan mendukung program paperless. Dengan fasilitas ini juga kita dapat mendukung program Hutan Lestari. Ingatlah, setiap beberapa kilogram kertas, satu pohon ditebang.
4. Ada fasilitas reporting dan retry secara otomatis. Kita tidak perlu menunggui mesin fax semalam suntuk hanya untuk berulangkali melakukan fax ke kantor atau tujuan yang selalu sibuk. Jika gagal mengirim fax pada kesempatan pertama, software fax akan secara otomatis mengulanginya. Proses perulangan bisa diset, misalnya 3 kali, 5 kali atau n kali.
5. Software fax dapat diotomatiskan encapsulasi melalui kolaborasi dengan aplikasi lain, misalnya bahasa pemrogramman maupun melalui script. Winfax misalnya, mendukung VBA Visual Basic for Application. Hylafax justru lebih powerful. Karena dapat dijalankan hanya dengan sebaris perintah shell, kita bisa membuat aplikasi program yang dapat langsung menggunakan perintah Hylafax untuk otomatisasi fax. 6. Kita dapat mengirim fax menggunakan email. Dengan fasilitas ini, kita dapat menyisipkan attachment-attachment yang dapat diprint melalui fax.
7. Fax dapat dilakukan dari komputer didalam jaringan. Kita bisa menempatkan menggunakan Fax Server dan Fax Client. Fax Server terhubung dengan line telepon, sedangkan fax client hanya perlu terhubung secara intranet dengan Fax Server.

Halo mas Asnan, penggunaan WinFax tidak tergantung pada modem ADSL dan akses internet melainkan pada line telepon dan modem dial up. Jika mas Asnan sudah memiliki modem ADSL, mas Asnan tetap mesti membeli modem dial up, nanti line yang ke modem ADSL dibuat bercabang biasanya otomatis dikasih spliter. Cabang yang satu ke modem ADSL dan cabang yang lain ke modem dial up.

Mas Vavai, apakah modem dial up bisa digunakan untuk jaringan intranet?? Saya sedang kesulitan atas penggunaan infra struktur yang ada di Indonesia tidak semuanya tersedia unutk komunikasi data, tapi sebagian wilayah masih fasilitas voice.

Saya pakai winfax pro 10 dengan kartu starone dan modem venus vt 12, saya pakai kalau untuk telepon yang lokal berhasil kirim fax-nya, tapi kalau pakai untuk fax yang interlokal dan pakai extention no. selalu gagal.

Kalau mau pindahin data Win Fax dari satu komputer ke komputer lain gimana yah??? Atau lebih jelasnya pindahin profile satu user dari satu komputer dipindah ke komputer lain seperti kalau mau memindah profile Microsoft Outlook Express??

Saya sudah download panduan memakai win fax dikantor saya, dan sudah berhasil dipraktekan, yang masih belum berhasil adalah mensetting host dan Fax client. di setting clientnya, setup cannot hook up with winfax pro on server Reason Accses denied. chekh that this may be the correct host boleh tau masalahnya dimana ya?

gimana sih cara mengatasi winfax yang sering error jadi fax yang datang ga langsung ke safe di komputer dan karenanya saya terganggu oleh suara telpon yang selalu brdering ketika fax datang, selama ini yang saya lakukan adalah merestart komputer tersebut tapi itu bisa sampai 2-3 kali dalam sehari merepotkan

salam kenal pak vavai. saya sudah mengikuti tutorial bapak untuk winfax 10.02. versi yang saya dapatkan adalah 10.04. setelah di pasang di PC standalone sudah bisa fax dengan baik. tetapi kalau dibuat sebagai host, maka client tidak bisa mencari PC host tersebut walau sudah dimasukkan IPnya. mohon pencerahan. saya baca memang 10.04 masalah kalau jadi host. apa musti ganti edisi? dimana bisa dapat download 10.02 atau 10.03? tx.

Saya ingin pencerahan untuk fax dgn HP tp sang penulis lom pernah mencobanya jd tidak ada pencerahan mengenai hal trsbt. Utk fax dokumen tanpa winfax pada XPSP2 maupun Vista bisa langsung kok jd gak perlu software tambahan krn sdh didukung. Jd gak perlu smp mncari winfax yg berbayar nanti malah membajak
