Im wanting to install SEP plus the install wont complete. Im utilizing an administrator account and then click Run as Administrator when starting not hard to install. I had Symantec Endpoint placed on my last XP desktop. I worked approximately three months then wouldnt accept any virus definition updates. I never can get the stupid thing to be effective right. Getting rid of it was even worse. Their uninstall tool didnt work and, when I finally uninstalled through Control Panel, it killed my modem. After that experience and another I had with Norton Internet Protection, you couldnt pay me to train on a Symantec product. Except for just a brief period when I tried MSE big mistake, Ive been using Avast free with virtually no problems.
