Studio One is my first DAW. I was excited about 2.6, but that is on a different level. Can not find enough superlatives to spell out it. It is easy to utilize, powerful, and aesthetically pleasing for the eyes. Workflow is superb. Do not know if it really is still offered free while using upgrade, but Studio One Made Easy by David Vignola gives a detailed tutorial regarding how to efficiently employ this beast. This software has everything and works solid on my small Mac Pro. While I still use Cubase, Studio One has little by little lured me into with it more plus much more.
