The functionality of the applications are OK. But the street maps are terrible. I try to seek out streets who have existed for many years and they are and not on the map. I would not recommend the product until Delorme starts updated their maps like each of the other services on the market.

I bought this hoping it might replace the now discontinued Microsoft Streets and Trips. I use S I rarely tried on the extender for real time navigation.
Unfortunately, Street Atlas is often a poor alternative to ST. Heres why:
The graphics are old-style rather than visually clear or user-friendly; ST has clear, uncluttered graphics.
Relocating stops or perhaps the route is straightforward and intuitive in S in Street Atlas its harder unless I havent figured against eachother yet.
There isn't a save state- whenever I open a roadmap I ought to close unneeded panels.

Ive used delorme maps since 2004. Theyre great but no map updates since 2008. New industrial parks, malls, etc, dont show. DeLorme might be going the technique of discontinued MSST.
