This book, however, warranted taking any time to try. I practice applied statistics and teach introductory and advanced statistics classes at the university, and I can say clearly this would be the best text I have ever used by introductory to intermediate topics. It may be the book I would have loved to write down if I were smarter and wanted no life for many years - - I thank Andy Field for doing that for individuals instead. This single work could replace 12 other quality statistics books I have because of that comprehensiveness. It is almost an anthology of statistics, however, you should not permit the size in the book scare you off; it is very easy to read and in some cases enjoyable. Examples are actually carefully compiled and definately will certainly keep interest. I previously had use of the older version in this book with the lab that I worked at, and ultimately decided to buy my copy. I type of wish that I had bought the older verison - that particular seemed to become much more concise in so it provided just the necessary information while remaining grounded in interesting dialog.
