I love SE Pro 2. On my MacBook Pro 2GHz quad core i7, 4Gb RAM SE Pro 2 is very fast. I use RAW files from my EOS 1Ds and scanned 4800 dpi 16bit 35mm film and infrequently 6x6 format 120 film. No problems to directory speed, I work SE Pro 2 hard likewise, with it from Photoshop Extended 5.5, Lightroom and Aperture.
I don t think the situation lies with SE Pro 2, perhaps with the various systems.

Has anyone solved the condition with SE pro 2 slower than normal? I have already been using it for a lot of months without problems, then my hard disk crashed. I put it back on my small new hard drive within the same computer and after this it crawls along in spite of 900 pixel wide images. Everything is slow, you will need forever to load images and in some cases scrolling with the menu is slow.
I use a quad processor, 4GB ram, 1Tb of hard disk drive space free, windows 7.
I can t see why it did run fine and after this on a fresh hard disk drive is slower than normal.

I worked out why SE pro 2 was running painfully slow on my own PC after changing my hard disk. I didn t possess the correct driver for my graphics card, changing the driving force solved my problems and SE pro 2 is actually working great.
