I m not able to do the selective colouring. For example, I have a BW shot RAW opened and converted in Elements, and I desire to retain the colour of your piece of jewellery inside the shot. So I open Efex within Elements.
When I go through the control point for the jewellery, I only get Br, Co and St not another ones from the illustration within the article.
The manual doesn t help I find it very hard to know.
Does anyone please get thoughts on what I m doing wrong?

There s a compact black arrow under the three sliders you re seeing. Click on that plus the other three sliders look. The one in the bottoom Sc is one you need.
There s another slider at the very top that controls the size from the Control Point. You may need to adjust that certain as well to have the required effect.

Structure is just like Clarity, but Silver Efex Pro 2 provides a lot more control. There are four Structure sliders, letting you apply it towards the highlights, shadows or midtones and also a Fine Structure slider for emphasising details.

I ve become overwhelmed with software and software plugin choices. I own, Topaz Labs, Nix Collections, OnOne, a different one or two small programs, various actions, additionally, to LR5 and PSCC. Whew!!! I ve seen what Silver Efex Pro are capable of doing and that s why I bought the complete Nix Collection. The LR presets usually do not compare to any from the aforementioned programs. I use LR at first and at the finish of photo processing. PS is a lot over my head, even with using it for 5 years, but I utilize it to finish what Topaz, Nix or OnOne plugins start. And, usually find yourself doing some small adjustments in LR, after things are said and done for example dodging and burning and adding a vignette.

In my personal, I think the Google acquisition of Nik software can be a positive thing. Now, with almost unlimited resources to create the very best products possible, Nik software/Google gets the opportunity to really shine. I prefer and keep an optimistic outlook about it.
All this being said, I m uncertain what any of it's got to do which has a great product like Silver Effex Pro 2.
Silver Efex Pro 2 arrived on the scene before Google bought Nik.
Nice Review. SEP2 is excellent. I don t care if Google bought Nik or otherwise, the Nik plugins are the very best.
